Not surprisingly, not much discussion of this. While I thought this season overall was one of the better ones, these last couple eps leading to the finale were below par for pre-finale eps. They have done a good job in the past of setting up the finale. Not so much this year.

You gotta hand it to the Smallville writers. They know how to do a cliffhanger. Cool way to introduce Bizarro.

This episode started out a little slow, but good grief, it just got more and more insane, with the body count going up, and the introduction of Bizarro!

Thank goodness at least this show is coming back next season, no way you could end a show with a "to be continued" placard.

It was a strange way to combine the best bits of Chloe and Lois, though.

So who died? I'm guessing it was Chloe, although that seemed like a pretty lame death scene. Lana's "death" was obviously one of those cliched fake deaths.

Yeah, it appears that the news reporting spirit has been truly passed on from Chloe to Lois with that tear that healed Lois, but drained Chloe's life force in doing so.

I was kinda smirking through that homage to Matrix Revolutions between Clark and not-Clark. Now, where to find some Blue Kryptonite...

Holy.Shit.

At first I was thinking, ya another lame double, then he said Bizarre....and then the face

These are the type of episodes that renews my faith in Smallville. Too bad they are only the first and last of a season.

I really wasn't feeling the finale anticipation like I had in previous seasons, but tonight's finale was just nutty and over-the-top, making my jaw more than once in the episode, and all the while just eating all of it up.

While I was enjoying how completely packed-to-the-walls this episode was, it would have been nice if they could have spread this out a bit more over 3-4 episodes and not had the past few be so lame.

That being said -- great episode and great final image. Looking forward to next year!

Not sure how the writers could fake that. Isn't the only way to set off a car bomb to turn the ignition? And there's no chance in hell she could have survived that if she's sitting in the car. I hope they pull a copout and say she wasn't in the car.

Something happened with the delivery truck that passed by (she got on it). Too obvious.

I forgot about that truck...you're probably right. If Lana is alive and Chloe's dead...

Don't we all wish.

Come on -- that was far to obvious. Watch the scene again. The truck passes by completely blocking the view. She could have easily jumped on.

All of this after telling Clark that she has to 'get away' from Lex and that he's dangerous. She faked her death.

Yeah, the writers love these season cliffhangers.

I think Lana is alive and Chloe dead, which is OK with me, but the healing tear is a pretty lame way to kill off a major character. But maybe we'll finally get more of Lois, which is definitely a good thing. She had a great stomach, too bad it probably wasn't hers since her face was off-screen.

So if Lex didn't put the bomb in the car, who did? Well, Lionel could have had the delivery truck pass by and have a couple of goons pick her up really fast. That's possible.

I really was expecting Bizarro Clark to be the dead character in this episode when it was hinted that Clark, Lana, or Chloe would be killed.

I did get goosebumps when Martian Manhunter came in and stopped Clark from killing Lionel.

BEST. EPISODE. EVAR!

Holy shit, I knew most of the spoilers going in, and this episode STILL blew me away. A perfect way to end Smallville's best season. It's going to be a long summer!!!

The whole "Lana death" was a total cliche. You see someone get into a car, something blocks the view, the car blows up, and a short time later the person shows up alive.

If Lana was really going to die, it would be in Clark's or Lex's arms. Not inside a car where you can't see her.
