Anyway, I think what the original poster was getting at was if Heroes and Lost were in the same time slot, it would be interesting to see who would win out in the ratings (especially since Lost is an established serial with a somewhat declining viewer base and Heroes is the hot new show with a larger base). I personally think the producers of Lost are still stretcing things out a little too much. Hopefully they get their act together for Season 4 and figure out how to keep this show interesting from begining to end.

I love Heroes, but to be fair the first season of Lost was plenty bad ass too. Lost got, um, lost along the way but they're regaining the momentum. It is still unknown if Heroes can even come close to matching the quality of its first season yet.

EDIT: S1 of Lost averaged about 16 million viewers. Heroes so far is at about 14 million, but down to 12 million since the break.

While I don't allow myself to read spoilers any more, the one thing I allow is to watch the clip from the show that's on Yahoo each week. They never give much at all away, and are basically a tease for the actual airing. http://tv.yahoo.com/lost/show/36617

The large, racially diverse ensemble cast, interconnecting storylines, mythologically-driven, heavily serialised plot that has resulted in key advertiser-demographic appeal of Heroes seems a little more than "influenced by" - it seems very derivative of. There's no denying that NBC greenlit Heroes as the network's answer to LOST.
Not to mention the many blatantly borrowed story elements from the X-Men series.

I think they said they have drawn on influences like Twilight Zone and possibly The Prisoner. Any others that people can think of??
