If you wish to characterize these token goodbye episodes as a long climax, then you are using the word "climax" in a way that I'm not familiar with. These episodes have been winding things down... not cranking them up. You see these as unnecessary and apparently were expecting some sustained dash to the end.
The criticism leveled against these last episodes could have been said about any of the episodes of the last 3 or so seasons. But for some reason some here expect the show to suddenly be different because they are the final episodes of the series.
Again, it is unrealistic to expect the climax and conclusion of this season/series to last more than 60 seconds of airtime... 120 at the max. I'd be happy if the entirety of the last 2 episodes really came to a really big bang, but I'm not expecting it.

honestly can you compare seasons 123 to the last 2? No you can't. Why is it wrong to expect the great storylines that we have had before for the finale episodes?

I think the Sopranos may have set the bar too high when its debut season proved to be the most entertaining television ever seen. I will admit that it has never matched that level of greatness, but on the same token, neither has anything that came before it or since it.

The Sopranos trumps any show ever.

There is more going on in one episode of The Wire than an entire season of the Sopranos. Tighter writing, acting, and continuity that is sorely lacking in most television shows today. Regardless, this thread is about the Sopranos episode.

I'm sorry if i missed this in this thread, and forgive me if the answer is pretty obvious, but were the men who took Vito Jr Really from some out of state "help group"? I guess the first time this ep aired I missed the scene where Tony called her to suggest it, and the scene immediately after when Tony was talking to his guy and some other guy outside of the Meat Shop.
What gives?
What gives?
