Here's a baker's dozen of my faves. I'm leaving off the Beatles (Wonder Years), the Who (CSIs) and the Monkees since those were actual songs. I did leave Veronica Mars though since it's not as famous. I couldn't find ER, which would certainly make the list, so in no particular order:

Funny; I just added all seven volumes of the Television's Greatest Hits compilations to my iTunes library overnight. Looking over those, plus the few TV theme collections I already had, I'm a fan of:
Cheers ("Where Everybody Knows Your Name") - The greatest TV sitcom should have the greatest TV theme song. And it does.
The Golden Girls ("Thank You for Being a Friend")
The Dukes of Hazzard ("Good Ol' Boys")
Magnum, P.I.
Dallas
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?
Batman (1966)
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The Patty Duke Show
The Tick (animated)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Untouchables (1990s)
Welcome Back, Kotter

The Greatest American Hero ... Believe it or not, I'm walking on air! Still get goose bumps when I hear that song. Loved this show when I was a kid.

Definitely "Sopranos". In fact, anytime I see that HBO static-y opening, I can't help but start humming the opening of this show directly after.

I can't believe no has mentioned the theme for Friday Night Lights. I love it everytime I hear it on each episode, and the dvd menus.

Re: TV themes you NEVER get tired of hearing?
Remember, this is NOT a 'favorite themes' thread.
From my opening post:
Dawson's Creek, Married...With Children, The O.C. are just a few theme songs (oddly enough they are all real songs on their own) that I don't like but never skipped for the same reason.
Obviously you wouldn't skip a favorite theme, but this isn't that.
From my opening post:
This isn't a favorites thread, but a spinoff of the 'most annoying' theme thread.
For example:
As a song, I can't stand "We Used to be Friends" - used as the Veronica Mars theme. However, the song was such a perfect match for the first two seasons, I would never skip it, despite not liking it. I think it's because avoiding that song would make the show seem incomplete somehow. Weird, but there it is.

Re: TV themes you NEVER get tired of hearing?
CHUCK! I was just thinking the other night how well that song fits the show and I never skip it, despite the fact that I really don't care for Cake.
I'm surprised at all the love for the Firefly theme. I actually wrote the show off early on because of how awful I thought the theme song was. Luckily, I went back to the series and have watched the whole thing numerous times, but I always skip the opening credits because of the song. To each their own, I suppose.

It took me a few episodes for the Firefly theme to grow on me. I forgot about Chuck, Cake rules, but falls into that 'real song' category.

For those that mentioned Futurama, I present French electronica artist Pierre Henry's "Psyché Rock" from 1967.
I think it's a testament to the greatness of The Prisoner that it's a three minute title sequence and theme and I watch it every time.
Edited to replace video, bad sound.

Doogie Howser, M.D. ...after watching the awesome reruns on the Hub and never fast forwarding the titles bc of the theme, just put it as my new ringtone. also, love the SNL Digital Short with NPH.
