For being such a brilliant teenager that was able to complete medical school at a young age, why the fuck is he such a slow typist?

There's a seminar on this very topic at the next Doogie Howser fan convention. I'm actually on the panel, and highly recommend that you check it out.

Seriously though, watch the cursor next time you see him typing on his computer. It is pretty obvious the boy genius is hen-pecking the keys.

it's the sentimental hook of the show and the audience needs to read as he's typing and oh yeah, it's a tv show about a boy who graduated Princeton at 10 and became an M.D. at 16!

Not impossible... My good friend graduated UC Santa Cruz with a Math degree at that age and was courted by Stanford to attend there (he went back to Jr. High instead so he'd have something close to a regular childhood).

Easily, my favorite ... I would probably buy the single.
Batman (1966)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
M*A*S*H
Six Feet Under
Star Trek TOS
True Blood
and I'm surprise no one has mentioned:
Hawaii Five-O (my all-time other favorite)
Honorable Mention:
Friends
Greatest American Hero
Newhart
Office (US)
Mary Tyler Moore Show
I like the Cosby Show, but he comes across like a pompous ass in the opening credits.
I took me a while to figure out the meaning of the lyrics to that song.

Most of them have been mentioned but, as a big TMBG fan, I can't let Malcolm in the Middle get no love!

I love TV Themes. My all-time favorite one is one that hasn't even been mentioned yet. It's the old school HBO Feature Presentation music used from 1983-mid 1997. Don't you just feel like you're about to watch a great movie every time you see this?
<object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i1NKoMNy5bY?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i1NKoMNy5bY?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>
I will also give another vote for the It's Garry Shandling's Show Theme. So perfect.
Same goes with:
Malcolm in the Middle ("Boss of Me")
Cheers ("Where Everybody Knows Your Name")
Night Court
The Adventures of Pete & Pete ("Hey Sandy")
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
Three other themes I love that have not been mentioned yet are:
Family Matters ("As Days Go By" perfectly compliments that series)
Step by Step (Say what you will about that show, but the theme is simply terrific)
and
The synthesizer "Joepardy!" theme used from 1984-1997. That theme not only gave that show its intelligence but also reminded viewers that it could be a lot of fun as well (I detest the current version of the theme that is used now. Yes, it sounds intelligent, but it takes away the reminder of fun that the old theme promises).

Cheers (the extended version)
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (the extended version)
Batman: The Animated Series
Six Feet Under
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Seinfeld
Late Night/Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien
For some reason I tend to like instrumental themes more than themes with lyrics. I think the Craig Ferguson theme is my number one played song in my iTunes though haha
