The Colin storyline I thought was going to kill the show but suprisingly adding a new member has made the show even better.
She's kinda cute. I think
Spoiler:
They are going to try writing up a storyline with Andy and Nina getting together. I don't agree with this unless... Something happens to the Husband.

I thought it was a good episode, but what did it for me was we got to see Amy as a cheerleader. I mean, those moves.... Where was she in Bring it On???

How do you think the Amy/Ephram/Colin triangle will work out? Personally, I think that it will come down to where Amy will have to leave both behind and move on with her life. I think that for Ephram the only place his relationship with Amy will go is the same place Kevin and Winney's relationship went in The Wonder Years.

I think I'd like to see the new Colin find out that he is not interested in Amy as a girlfriend. That he feels pressured by her to be what he was before.

I'd like to see Colin become interested in a new girl, who can know him who he is now. And then Amy would be all hurt and run to Ephram to cry on his shoulder, but Ephram would still be hurt and not want to be her consolation prize.

Everwood 2/3

Good episode, but the stupid promo from last week was incredibly misleading. The stupid WB execs showed what I thought was going to be a confrontation at the ski trip, and there was no mention of the Andy/reverend storyline.

I wondered if the two relgious-themed storylines were meant to be together. It seemed a bit odd, since I had no idea that there even was a Catholic population in Everwood, so I was a little "jolted", so to say. It wasn't as if they were dealing with the same religions either, which is sort of unusual.

I sort of enjoyed the panic attack. I don't know why. The storyline was well-handled, though, but boy...Andy sure is the bearer of bad news. It seems many residents of Everwood have terminal diseases just waiting to be exposed.

And Laynie? She didn't match the mental image I had of her, but she was ok. She wasn't unlikeable, but it wasn't a huge part of the episode. Interesting twist to the storyline, though.

Spoiler:
Next week a character from a previous episode returns. Didn't expect that.

Ok, Dr. Brown has to go. Betting on the Red Wings vs the Avs?!?!?!?!?!?! I forsee a lynching in the near future

-edit

I just watched the trailer for this weeks episode and it was misleading. They had Ephraim kissing Colins sister and Colin sitting next to Amy saying "You haven't been able to keep your eyes off him the whole night"

Good show......missed the preview for next week.

I see a relationship coming in the future between Dr. Brown and his nice looking next door neighbor.

Good show. The trailers are very misleading some of the things that they show in the trailer do not happen at all. I do not like of the idea of Dr. Brown and Nina getting together when Nina is married maybe if they wrote a in her getting a divorce. Laynie was ok.

Everwood 2-10-03

Anyone watch this last night? Here's what happened tagged for your protection.
Spoiler:
Ephram asked Laynie Colin's sister out and they kissed on their date. Dr. Brown slept with the traveling psychologist. Irv had a heartattack. Amy the witch looked really jealous when Colin went out with Laynie. Dr. Abbot's wife threw him out for buying the same stuff every year for Valentines.
That's about it. It was a very good episode

Charming, if not a bit sappy. Edna was more likeable in this episode, and Amy wasn't as annoying as in earlier episodes. Delia was noticeably absent, although the excuse was she was at a sleepover at Nina's. Ok, then.

It was weird to have Andy do the voiceovers this week. I don't really dislike them, so it's no big deal, but the intro was rather disturbing, with the voiceover. Without it, it was less...I don't know, macrabe? It was creepy.

Then again, so was the old people sex. I'm so shallow.

Spoiler:
Dead mom returns soon, but in flashbacks, rather than the weird "Ally McBeal" hallucanations. Hmmm....

I never find a whole lot to talk about with this show. It's not heavily hyped and it's not even controversial. But even so (maybe BECAUSE of that), it's one of my favorite on TV. On the surface, it's a very simple show, but it says a lot that the actors are able to convey a much more complex undercurrent of emotions. I hope this keeps up and earns some emmys and recognition for them next year. If the quality writing keeps it up, I think it has a shot at a few nominations at least.

Everwood 2/17

I missed most of the episode, sleeping, but in a previous episode and this episode I knew I had seen the piano teacher before and it was bugging me. Then I realized where I had seen him

Some of you might have seen him as Skater in The Parlor. If you haven't go here :

http://www.chryslermdff.com/qualifying2002.asp#

You need to register, need to use a real email, and watch it

As for the rest of the episode, guess I'll have to catch it on Sunday or dl it.

I really enjoy this show. It all points to Ephram and Amy hooking up now. I can't believe the broke up Ephram and Colin's sister so quickly.

The Piano Teacher (Matt?) was creepy, in a "Michael Jackson" kinda way.

Too bad the Lanie and Ephram story ended so quickly. They had more chemistry than Ephram and Amy, IMO.

The Harold/Andy storyline was sort of goofy, but it was fun. Sort of like, "CSI: Everwood". I read that some people found it very predictable, but it took me awhile to figure out it was a dog.

The CNN cameo was odd, since there was technically no CNN logo. I thought CNN doesn't do that anymore anyways, after "The Lost World" or something...I swore I read something about that.

I love Lanie.....she sooo cute.

It would have been awesome if they stayed together...at least a little while longer. No we get the generic love triangle.

o well. still good.

Everwood 2/24

Mom returns! Gilmore Girls, take note. This was an excellently done flashback show, and the chemistry between Ephram and his mom was superb. I really enjoyed those scenes, although I understand the mom played a drastically different character on "Sports Night". Never really watched that series, so I wouldn't know.

It was nice seeing Delia and Bright make small appearances. They really haven't gotten much focus lately, and that's a shame. No Edna, and Irv didn't do a voice over, either. I hadn't even noticed until the end of the show.

The Harts are so irritating. I was surpised to see Lanie go, that was sure quick. It wasn't as if she had anything to do, though, after things broke off with Ephram. Oh well, she really wasn't around long enough for me to form an opinion on her.

The Abbots are sort of heartbreaking. Amy is such a drama queen, completely overreaching, and Dr. Abbot is clearly in pain over the "end" of their "special relationship".

Anyhow, it was a good, quality episode. I liked this episode, it was touching and for such a fairly dark episode, I think this one was probably one of the best.

Good show......Amy will come back around with Dad once she does realize he was right and she was wrong. I have a feeling Colin will be leaving us in the near future......or at least having some serious problems. His parents are completely ignorant....if they truly loved their son they would be doing anything possible to guarantee the health of their son. Last night's episode almost made it seem like they have something against Dr. Brown. No scenes for next week....is this not on next Monday?

That sucks....it's a shame the major networks cannot produce enough episodes of a series to last throughout the season. This is the only show I watch on Monday nights....guess I will have another free night for movies.

I think that's the Kristin Hersh version, which was used on "E.R." about a year ago in the episode where Carter & Abby went to get Sally Fields, who was having a breakdown in an Oklahoma motel. It's on her album Sunny Border Blue.
