Too much Nina, Jake and Andy.
Let Dr. Brown leave Everwood and rename the show "The Abbotts".

Tom Amendes deserves an Emmy© for that opening scene alone.
Good ep.
... but I need a 3 month break from Everwood. It'll be nice to have them back in the Fall.
To Bright throwing caution to the wind and planting a big wet one on Hannah.

It's strange to see the characters lay their card out on the table, just in time for the summer break.
Having Harold berate Andy after he did Rose's surgery was jarring because the time frame wasn't clear, so I stayed confused by it, but it was for Andy a synopsis for what went wrong for Andy. Later, all the good that Andy did was playfully brought into the decision-making process after an impromptu "Appreciation" party hastily thrown together by Harold.
Leave it to Hannah to have to break up with Topher twice, that boy just ain't too swift. Bright getting some courage, and leaving Hannah on cloud 9 for her trip home was nice to see.
Amy's sticking around to be with Rose. Selfishly speaking, I'm glad, but it's probably not the right move to make in deferring enrollment, but the show must go on.
Andy and Nina...interesting times ahead, indeed.

I liked this season ender but then again I wasn't a regular viewer of this show this season like most of you.
I found the scenes with Bright and Hannah to be enjoyable and sweet.
BTW, does anybody know the name of the song and singer that was played at the beginning of the show?

Add another to the list that thought it was weird to not hear from or see Ephram. Would have been neat if he did the voice over for the ep (if the ep had voice over).

I really liked the finale. It almost seemed like at one point they planned it to be a series finale. I thought it was funny how they brought back all those "medical emergeny of the week" people they used to do the first two seasons. Having all those people at Andy's party, and Andy mentioning to Harold all that he has been through in Everwood was some nice continuity.
I was really worried they were going to kill off Rose so I am so glad that didn't happen. Now it seems obvious that Rose's cancer was mainly written in to give Amy an excuse to stay home for season 4. It works for me. I was worried they were going to try and make Dr. Abbot a widower.
I thought it was great that Bright and Hannah kissed and also Andy & Nina. Although Bright waited until Hannah was free, while Andy one again selfishly acts in own interests.
I loved the way he kissed Nina, layed it all out on the table, and then Jake comes home..."Hi, Honey." Poor Nina! She just now got together with Jake and is happy, but now she has a chance with the guy she has been pining for all these years...what to do?
I also enjoyed Hannah's double breakup with Topher. I have actually had that happen to me before, breaking up with a guy but then he acts like it never happened and you have to do it all over again. That was hilariously realistic.

I actually thought for a few minutes that Andy Brown was going to go to Chicago and leave the show. Is there any solid word to Gregory Smith coming back next year (all the rumors I've read said he's gone for good)?

Gregory Smith MIA From Everood for Awhile?
Everwood fans may notice something missing when the drama airs its third-season finale on May 23: leading man Gregory Smith. As first reported in Ask Ausiello, Smith will exit the show on May 16 when Ephram (spoiler alert!) heads to Europe to start a new life. "Ultimately," exec producer Rina Mimoun explains, "because of everything that happened with Madison, Ephram realizes that he's got to get away from his father."
Although Mimoun says she "treasures" Smith, she believes writing Ephram out will "reinforce that this show is more and more becoming an ensemble that doesn't rely on the star power of one or two key players." Mimoun, meanwhile, hints that Smith could remain MIA next fall. "We may want to keep [fans] guessing for a while."

Wow. Well Ephram not coming back right away would definately be more realistic...and it's not like he's needed to carry the show. The show certainly is bigger than the premise it started on now, so I'm ok with this. I wouldn't want him not to come back, but being gone for a lot of next season rings true for me.

If he's gone for an extended period of time will make his storyline more believable than him returning to Everwood right away.
Although I agree the show could do without him, I wish he's back next season.

Are they going to be showing reruns during the summer? There were 3 or 4 crucial episodes I missed that I never got to see rerun from last season.
And it doesnt look like they're working on dvds very rapidly.

I am hoping this show does not get slaughtered in its new time slot. This is one of my favorites and deserves better by WB.

Luckily, I'm not an Apprentice fan, so I'll be TiVoing this and CSI.

I like Amy's new cut, frames her face nicely. Now, Hannah's braid were scary as hell (but funny too). Hannah's blossomed quite nicely taking into account how shy she was last season.
Bright delighted in delivering the news to Amy about his new roommate, who's gay, and Amy has the potential to become a beard for the guy.
Jake hits a home run with the diner name, and Nina cuts Andy loose. And just in time, Ephram shows up to shore up what could be a strange 3-way crush triangle.

Ok .. I guess I will be the first and (most likely only) person to say this.
That was weak. The script was lifeless and it felt like the actors knew it.
Everwood has always been a bit uneven from episode to episode, but I am sure they can do better than this and I am sure they will.
*shudder* the drinking scene with Nina and Edna was beyond horrible.
Hanna and Bright act like they are on a reality show. I just don't buy into them. Absolutely no chemistry when they are together. Much better when they are trying to get together.
Is Nina & Dr Teeth getting married ... no its Nina & Andy ... no it Irv and Edna.
Harrold was the best part of last season, his scenes were badly written. The flower arrangements ... what did someones great grandmother write that scene. What was the point? Just plain idiotic.
This episode was one of the worst I have seen ... and I have watched them all.

I agree not the strongest episode ever, but still better than most programs out there.
And I guess I didn't pay attention before, but I thought Irv and Edna were already married. But this apparently was their first wedding? Not just a renewal of vows? I guess I wasn't paying attention before!
