Yeah, after watching the first two seasons on DVD, watching it cropped is going to be a bit of a bummer. Really glad to have this show back though.

Here's a great VM article from today's MSNBC...

So...was the hitman union bit an intentional shout out to Grosse Pointe Blank or just a coincidence?

Dude you need to watch Season 2 again. When did Dicks dad get arrested? Didn't Loagn discuss how Dick was with Big Dick over in some foreign place?

Keith had helped Kendall hide from Liam Fitzpatrick. Keith was now reuniting Kendall and the formerly-jailed Fitzpatrick, who used to date (before Kendall was Mrs. Casablancas). However instead of a happy reunion, Fitzpatrick killed Kendall, took the money, and left Keith to die in the desert.

I think we are off to a good start.
Loved the Saturn, Neptune Mars dialogue as well as the Frak remark.
I didn't get the whole Keith thing either but I missed the first half of last season.

ahh ok i see now

whats the reasoning for the other PI putting a bug/tracker on keith? did liem fitzpatrick hire him to follow keith to get to kendall? so liem didnt know that the jailed fitzpatrick was gonna turn on kendall, or i guess he just wanted to make sure

I just really don't see Vinnie working for the Fitzpatricks, but that may be because I like the Vinnie who can banter with Veronica and Keith. Doing something to put Keith in mortal danger would really kill that. I am therefore trying to convince myself that Veronica hired Vinnie to keep an eye on Keith because she knew all too well that something big was going on. Of course, maybe the Vinnie pen was just a ruse by Veronica and Veronica is personally keeping track -- we just haven't seen it yet.

Didn't V get into Stanford? Maybe I'm not remembering, but was it explained last season why she decided on Hearst?

She skipped out on a semester exam to see the end of Aaron Echols trial I believe.

Also anyone else notice that the TA was played by the same guy who played Lucky the janitor last season?

Yes, good eye. I didn't even recognized him as the TA but I did remember reading that he will playing a different character.

BTW, I loved the season premiere and hoping that the writing will stay as sharp throughout the season.

I felt that last year after a good season premiere last year, the show was uneven for most of the early part and started being good again for the last 5 episodes.

Great first episode!! Only problem is that the CWs HD here in NYC is pretty shitty, but either than that, it was great to have Veronica back.

That's what we call a story arc - something anyone who has been watching this show should be MAJORLY familiar with by now.

Amazing first episode, I wasn't really worried but the change from high school to college isn't always smooth in TV land. VM is clearly the best show on TV right now, so I'm sure cancelation is just around the corner.

Great opening episode, though I wish they had explained the subplot with V's dad better. Even as a faithful VM viewer, I was left going, "What was that about?" at the end of the show. I think if they want to keep getting new viewers, they shouldn't assume we know everything about past seasons. But nonetheless, good episode.

Good first episode...also my first VM in HD. It looked awesome, but could the CW network bug be any more obnoxious? They seriously need to do something about that.

Don't tell me that Piss guy is going to be competing with Logan for Veronica's affections. The hair covering his ears and eyes was bugging me. Goddern hippie!

"Or HE said"

Very solid episode...loved the Battlestar reference and the opening scene with the Murder on the Riverboat Queen was hilarious. So glad to have this show back!

WERGO: SunTv is showing VM season 3 now (tuesday at 9pm...) and in HD no less (although they had tons of technical glitches last night). Very happy to have the show in HD rather than relying on torrents.

Yeah, it seems obvious where they're going with that, I just hope they don't milk it out too long. Weren't Logan and Veronica on-again-off-again most of last season? Just leave them together once and for all, please.

Ah, but, sadly, my cable provider does not offer SunTV. And, living in an apartment building, I'm forced to accept whatever lousy overpriced cable system (in this case, Look Communications) they force on us.
