Its almost like they write Michael as some sort of savant, someone who could impress everyone with his skills, but he finds that it comes so easy he truely doesnt realize that other people find getting work accomplised exciting.

Toby's been my favorite character since the "office grievance" episode last year. Maybe I identify with him because we're a lot alike...

Michael: I want you to dig up some dirt on Josh. Find out if there are any skeletons in his attic.
Dwight: I'll talk to my buddy down at the station, STAT.
later...
Dwight: So I, uh, called my buddy down at the station today. Have him run a background check on a Josh Porter see if there's any known aliases, etc.
Michael: And?
Dwight: He wasn't volunteering today.
Michael: [exasperated grunt]

I think Michael closes his deals because he is that kind of personality that you would agree to almost anything in order to just get away from him. Nobody can be rude to him, Jan has tried, he keeps turning things around to work in his favor, no matter what. So it gets exasperating, and you end up agreeing with him.

Was I the only one who was reminded of the beginning of Unbreakable when Michael and Dwight were taking the train to Philly? I'll have to go back and watch the movie again, but I swear the sets looked identical. Good thing they made it to the convention.

It amazes how much good material they always seem to have left over.

The scene where Jim walks in on Angela but left before recognizing her didn't quite ring true for me - it seemed like a device to keep the "secret affair" between her and Dwight going.

What is it that Angela says when the door opens? It sounds like she says "Jane"...to Dwight's Tarzan? The earlier "Monkey" nickname, too... Dwight & Angela might get freaky.

I have to imagine Angela is a freak-a-doo in the bedroom. We can only imagine what it was Jim actually saw in there, but it clearly wasn't anything that led him to even think it could have been her.

(Creed Bratton is basically playing a parody version of himself -- he really was in The Grass Roots)

Overall, a pretty good ep. There were a couple of lines that had me rolling, like telling Pam that she would definitely have to put out.
