If it were me, I'd remind Gilby that he had ZERO creative contribution to GNR (Izzy recorded both UYIs) and was little more than a hired gun. Gilby's solo album was dreadful shit and I thought he was dead until this show.

Supernova has done an incredibly poor job about showing what they are about. The contestants are getting frustrated, and rightfully so.

They really should be jamming with the contestants. This isn't fitting a singer into a known band. This is forming something new. If they're too fancy to play every song on the show then they should do the encore performances as a reward and as a chance to try things out with the "best" singers on the show. As it is now the whole thing is a debacle.

What's to stop Supernova from having picked a singer already, planted him or her in this contest as nothing more than a publicity stunt. All they'd have to do is just not send him/her home if they happened to end up in the bottom 3. You surround this person with a lot of extremely inappropriate candidates for the band to make your "choice" seem natural. CBS gets a follow-up to a decent original show and Supernova gets their name out there.

Tommy's antics lead me to believe he really doesn't care because either a) it has already been decided or b) it is just a cash grab and this just helps it.

Not that Chris was ever going to win this thing, but it makes me think even more that the fix is in...keeping Zayra around?!? She is simply incompetent. I can't believe how annoying she is. I'm thinking they kept her around an extra week because of the possible sex appeal, but I think she's fugly and annoying as hell and will turn it off when she's on.

Chris was getting better each performance and was willing to get better - Zayra basically said she thought she was good and wasn't in need of improvement.

And they all commend Chris for being so receptive to the criticism and being mature...I was waiting for Chris to say, "Yeah, and look where it got me, ya assholes!"

Chris was eliminated by papers, rocks and scissors. Check it when Brooke said Supernova was deliberating behind her. :lol:

Damn Jill saved herself with that performance. Amy Lee would be proud.

There were tons of rumors about the Australian guy being a plant last year, but he ended up third. I wouldn't really care if there was a plant if they'd actually have good performers. I'm watching Tuesday's show now and it's really disappointing.

OK, just got to Storm Large. Despite her stupid name, she did a good job on the Cheap Trick song. Too many people are rearranging the songs, probably because JD did that last year. The difference was he was actually pretty good at that.

Wow. Chris was easily the best to perform tonight yet he still goes home. I don't even know why they are having them perform again because thats not how they are throwing the people out. I guess it is their band though.

This sucks ass come on to eliminate Chris and keep Zayra is BS. When they asked her to do a song to impress Supernova she did the same song she got berated for doing last night. Then Dave has the guts to say that was Chris's best performance, if that is true why was he eliminated. So there saying Zayra performance which was identical to that crappy one she did last night was good now. These guys are smoking crack or they want to screw the bitch.

I know they have a new drummer, not sure about the other guys though.

When the critiscm was that she didnt have a clue what they were looking for, and then she turned around and did the same song, (I dont know how she sang it the second time, because I muted it..she sucked so bad last night, and everyone was laughing at her) and then to insult them with her answer to her critisms, and Chris to actually show respect and try to give them what they want, and turned out a decent accoustic vocal, and still get asked to leave?? This show just lost their credibility with me...

To each their own. She looks pretty beat to me. I would rather pork Dana or give Storm my Large one. LOL. Ok, Zayra isn't terrible looking after all, but her pompous attitude and mannerisms make me want to sock her in the beak rather than do her.

Zayra is not remotely attractive IMO.

As for her performance, after someone gets booted last week because of poor song choice, she decides to do the same song that she got nailed over the previous night? I would be surprised if she lasts two weeks more.

Chris' performance of Take Me Out pales so much in comparison to Marty's last year (I believe) it is not even funny. However, his version of If You Could Only See last night was really good, probably one of my favorite songs performed so far this year.

Her idea was to sing the same song closer to the band's style. I didn't think it was much better, but at least she gave in a little. She didn't do the same song to be a defiant bitch.

Chris was better, but that Tonic song is nowhere near what Supernova's style is going to be. That's my only guess as to why they chose him.

I concur. Newsted actually seems the most level headed and the one that actually offers constructive criticism, as opposed to personal attacks or asking about undergarments.

She gives me a Penelope Cruz airheaded defensive vibe. She's probably okay to look at, but when she opens her mouth, I just want to punch her.

She sang that song as if someone was ramming a burning poker up the jaxxie. My god, it was terrible. Ray Davies should beat the crap out of her.

Apparantly the show has been sued by a band who has a copyright for the name Supernova.

I was dumbfounded when Chris got sent home before Zayara. Sure, he wouldn't have made it to the end, but he was certainly improving and trying instead of just trying the same song again, maybe slightly different.

But, Rock-Paper-Scissors? What a joke...
