Although they did answer a lot of questions I agree with Ayre. The episode itself was not good.

Still looking good to me. I liked the skeleton at the end there, gives us something a little more concrete to speculate about.

Just got here myself. I was going to watch online, but their site said I was too slow for fullscreen. Now I have better internet, but then they go an pull the older ones. So Netflix it is...

My thought is that maybe that was an original version of himself? Or maybe his creator? Localized time distortion field to make him age faster and that person die quicker? Okay, maybe too SciFi on that one... :)

What about the guy in the pickup truck?!

Why's the daughter such an ass towards him?

Relationship with the piano girl next door looming? Bet daughter gets jealous!

Anybody else think the mom would have made a good Dr. Weir? :)

Jadzia 06-30-07 11:43 AM

Kylie XX has cankles. There, I said it.

riley_dude 07-01-07 10:44 PM

I am not really enjoying this season so far. I can't put my finger on it.

Charlie Goose 07-03-07 07:19 AM

It almost seems like Kyle is going to end up being some sort of superhero with a secret identity. No sign of Kylie XX last night.

The mom is the hottest chick on the show. Next to Kyle, of course.

Ayre 07-03-07 07:29 AM

I enjoyed last nights episode and the super hero thing is kinda working. Some of the subplots are a bit tedious, but it's harmless summer fun.

The agent that is befriending mom (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1489668/) is the hottest chick on the show. Next to Kyle, of course.

Was Kyle wearing lipstick?

MrE 07-03-07 10:12 AM

Did the good writers leave?

And what's with all the sappy music interludes?

slappy 07-03-07 07:19 PM

This season, the characters have just really been grating on my nerves. I'm not sure what the big difference is between this season and last season. Strange... last week's episode irked me the most. They just all seem extra annoying... from Lorie to the mom to Declan and on and on.

But, that said, I'm still watching it. :) I'm giving it some more time.

I agree. All the teen melodramatic crap is annoying and the whole training thing is not compelling at all.

Ayre 07-04-07 05:04 PM

This is a campy summer fun show. Like Eureka (but not as good). How can (Why would) you expect anything more? There isn't any point in examining the acting or dramatic content. It's just a simple fun diversion.

marty888 07-05-07 09:19 AM

The show is definitely doing too much "teen angst" for my taste, which is probably why I'm not enjoying the show as much as the 1st season.

Birrman54 07-05-07 11:05 AM

Agree with what has been said... I caught up with the show over the past couple weeks and the new season just seems to feel different. For some reason I find a bunch of the supporting cast laughable / annoying

Jadzia 07-05-07 11:11 AM

I am really enjoying the new season.

I dont want to lower my expectations for Summer. Quality is quality.

Too much angst and whining this year.

Kevin M. Dean 07-05-07 02:48 PM

I think people are just missing Kyle's sense of wonder and learning about the world around him along with the mystery of who he was. Since they answered most of that and Kyle isn't learning new things as much, the show has moved in a new direction.

Possibly same here. I also thought the first episode wrapped up "dad' waaaay too quickly. It seems to be muddling along...

LaxBandit 07-08-07 05:23 PM

If you are one of those who waits until Friday nights on ABC at 9:00 pm ET to catch the latest episode, you going to be out of luck the next two weeks as ABC will be repeating the latest episode of the new ABC Family show "Greek" at that time. ("Greek" premieres this Monday on ABC Family at 9:00 pm ET-repeat at 10:00 pm ET) So you will have to catch the show on ABC Family at either 8:00 pm ET Monday or 12:00 am ET Tuesday or online at ABC.com.

^^^ OK, that really sucks. I like my shows in HD, dammit! Oh, well. I guess I can sacrifice for a week or two.

I agree with most of you here. This season just hasn't been as interesting. WAY too much teen angst, and WAY, WAY too much Declan pouting. Dude, get over it. I know you're upset you can't date Kyle, but you just gotta move on.

aktick 07-22-07 06:45 PM

Just caught the last 3 eps, didn't like not having them on ABC HD.

I've been practicing my speed reading by watching most of the episodes with CC on, only watching the Kyle learning with Foss lines at real speed. ;)

So, is anybody NOT a "bad guy"? What's Foss's agenda?

Those parts are still pretty good and interesting, it's all the sappy teenage love crap that sucks.

Once again, its Greek the next two Friday nights (July 27/Aug 3) at 9:00 pm ET on ABC. So your going to have to catch Kyle XY either on Monday nights at 8:00 pm ET or Tuesday morning at 12:00 am ET on ABC Family or online at ABC.com. (My guess it will be this way for the rest of the season/summer.)

Does anyone else imagine the Highlander sound effect every time Kyle and Jesse get the vibe off each other..... or maybe it's just me. :)

Charlie Goose 07-25-07 07:25 AM

I get the same vibe when Declan looks at Kyle.

Did anyone watch last night? I dozed off during the second half, did Steven ever get closure with his father? This show being what it is, I imagine he did.

And was there any revelation about Lori's attacker? It seems obvious that it was Kylie XX.

That sucks I thought they canceled the show. I'm not going to watch this show in SD it's not worth it. The second season is really lacking anyway.
