Kyle is what appears to be a 16 year old boy who wandered out of the woods in Washington naked one day with absolutly no memories, unable to speak, or understand what anyone was sying. He was arrested and taken to a group home, but his inability to understand anything got him in trouble with the more hard-core kids. His bleeding heart therapist took him home as a foster child.
During the course of the show he quickly learns how to speak, eat, read, and basicall everything an infant learns, but in a matter of days.
He's also unique in that he has no navel, has a super-genius level aptitude with math, and has highly enhanced physical abilities. He draws photographic quality pictures from memory, pixel-by-pixel, and is a whiz with computers.
Since it is an ABCFamily show, he also learns hard lessons about lying, sex, drinking, relationships, blah, blah, blah.
The guy who played Krychezk from the X-files is mysteriously following him around and bugs his foster house for sound and video.

Through hypnosis and flachbacks Kyle remembers how he got into the woods, and sees the Krychezk guy kill a man, who's body is found near the spot where Kyle 'wokeup' We later learn that this man is a Professor at U of Washington, and Kyle visits there. The Prof was working an enhansing the human mind but no one from his staff recognizes Kyle. Kyle sees a picture from 1985 of teh Professor and a man who is the spitting image of Kyle, but disappeared 20 years before. In the mans notes, Kyle sees coordinates for a location in the woods, the same coordinates Kyle has repeated under hypnosis and he goes there. The Krychezk guy stops him and warns him that if he returns to the location, they will kill him and his new family, and to stop asking questions.
The 'company' that occupies the location in the woods catches Kyle on camera and finds out he's alive. We learn thet the Krychezk guy was supposed to kill Kyle when he worked for teh company, but instead let him free and quit. Now another security employee is sent to kill Kyle and his 'origional parents' show up in the last cliffhanger.

It is perhaps the most family friendly, wholesome sci-fi/mystery on tv, but it also tackles teen sex and family problems in a somewhat realistic manner.
