I got a kick out of the conversation between Eko and Michael about Hell. Good Ep. overall. Can't wait for the 2hr final.

MATT
I was reading the thread during the commercial breaks and had enough sense to stop reading after the first 2 words in your post: "Great Episode". Not sure why anyone would continue reading past that if they didn't want to be spoiled.

I was hoping Sayid was going to shoot him in the leg, and say I don't believe you.

Where the hell was Locke going? But the island has healed him.
You would think they would mention/take care of the camera in the hatch.

Sayid should shoot Michael in the other arm.

Very good episode.

Can't wait for the finale next week. Though I have a feeling it will be a dissappointment on par with last season ending with them looking down the fucking hatch.

QUESTIONS FROM THIS EPISODE (AND SPOILERS) --

1. How did the Others know Sawyer's real name? From the flight manifest? Who else knows his real name -- Hurley? Locke? Why was it written James Ford on Michael's list? If they enought about him to want him, why didn't they call him Sawyer?

2. Why do they need Michael to lead Hurley, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to them? They just swarmed in and took whatever tailies they wanted. Why are the fronties being treated differently? Since Fenry knew Goodwin, it implies that the fronties and tailies were both being attacked by the same group of Others. Why the different tactics?

3. Did they not know that Fenry was captured until Jack called them out? Also, they only seemed to capture Michael by chance. These guys don't seem to be half the badasses we've been led to believe.

4. Okay, this has been bothering me for a while now -- why the massive armory in the Hatch? Why do two guys in a psychological experiment need so many firearms and ammunition?

5. Why the charade? At first, it seemed like "The Others" wore disguises when they ventured out of their science station. Now we see them living in tents and wearing rags and fake beards full-time. Who are they disguising themselves from? Why did the abandon the medical hatch? Who are they hiding/running from? Seems like they're going pretty damned far for the benefit of the survivors of 815. (Maybe, next season, we'll get a flashback episode from The Others' POV.)

6. Alex -- dissent within the ranks?

7. When did Walt have access to a computer? Presumably they're in another science station, so why are they living in tents when the capture Michael?

8. The questions to Michael about Walt -- was it implied that Walt is an astral projector? (Asking him if he ever saw Walt somewhere where he shouldn't be bring back Shannon seeing him in the jungle.)

Speculation on the next episode --
Spoiler:
Jack lets Michael lead him, Sawyer, Kate, and Hurley into the trap. But with Sayid (and others) acting as back-up.

It's not your fault. I blame myself... for not living in Canada so I can see episodes even earlier!

Here's my two cents on whats happening next week:

Spoiler:
I think the boat that washes to shore will be Desmond's and they'll find something interesting on it. I think that Locke is heading back to the Pearl hatch to monitor what is going on at the Swan. Where the F else is he going to go?

A theory though that conincides with other Hanso related stuff on Walt and the others
Spoiler:
does anyone else think that the tests he's doing have something to do with remote viewing?

Also, further evidence (if only anecdotal) that the others are not who they say they are.
Unfortunatley next week I'll be traveling on business so I 1)won't have a DVR in my hotel room and 2) won't have the internet so the wait is going to SUCK!!
Atleast I won't miss the finale though
I think that's exactly right about Walt.

And here's something else I am guessing from a quick shot in the preview for the finale.

Spoiler:
It looks like Jack and Michael may have discovered the dump site for the logs and their containers coming from the Pearl. I may be wrong but what is dumped looks interesting. It also looks like Locke returns to the Swan to fight with Ecko and ultimately destroying the computer causing the final countdown.

I will catch shit for this, but who cares.
A real issue with these threads is, many do not give WEST COAST people a chance!
Right now it is 8:30 and I am willing to bet ( I didnt look at post times ) the details of the episode were already being posted well before that.

A couple weeks ago, I saw people talking about what happened and it was only little after 6pm PDT which I thought was ass.No spoiler tags either.Three fricken hours man.

I think show notes need to be in spoiler and/or not put at all until the west coast at the very least starts! Some of you dont give us a chance.

Yup, those looked like the tubes all piled up. Looks like Desmond's boat is coming and that he will return next ep. Looks like Locke is pretty mad at being manipulated and wants to take a crack at that computer.

All I have to say is that the season Finale BETTER rock. If it sucks, I think Lost will be in trouble next season. When that button doesn't get pushed something damn cool better happen.

It seems obvious to me that the 'others' are all scientists doing some gene manipulation of Walt and Claire's baby to make some super being. There's probably like a big city behind 'the door' full of scientists...

So the sailboat...it didn't look like anybody was on it? But wasn't Desmond on a boat when he crashed on the island in the first place? Maybe he's on it?

Why did Michael give the 2 guys guarding the door that look? Were they twins? I know there was a pair of twins on the boat that took Walt.

That's just not how it works. Spoilers are fair game once it has aired in the US (EST), and are warned about in dated thread anyway.

Just stay out of thread after 6 pm PST until 10 pm PST when you've seen it. You know the east coast people will be talkinga bout the show staring at 6 your time, so there's no reason to click on the thread.

What the fuck else are people going to post? These threads are pointless until the episode airs anyway. Just a bunch of "can't wait" type posts.

I gotta agree with Josh.. why on Earth would anyone on the West Coast come into this thread after 6 pm PST? It's not like it's send directly into your brain waves.

DONT CLICK ON THE THREAD.

The rumor about the boat is:

Spoiler:
That Libby Widmire (of Widmire Labs, Widmire Construction, etc). gave Desmond the boat for his race around the world

Agreed. The reunited scene was well done. I think I figured out the producers plan to keep Walt young. Only show him in pitch black. Re: graves, I hope he seriously doesn't believe shoveling some dirt is atonement for killing two people to get one back. He should have at least brought them some water.

I loved Eko's story. "he wasn't worried about the forgiveness. He was worried that if he wen't to hell the dog would be waiting for him." Very creepy, especially when delivered by Adawale.

Definitely. Sayid is the fucking man. Trying to bullshit an interrogator, Michael is a moron. I see a second party following close behind at the least, consisting of maybe Sayid, Locke & Charlie(both now with no purpose), possibly Danielle & Desmond and a couple of fresh faces that can go the way of Artz like last season. BTW, did Sayid cut his hair or was it pulled back? Looked chopped to me.

The boat was a definite surprise. Great ending. Looks like a boat that would belong to someone who would be into racing... Desmond maybe?

With Eko manning the computer, I don't think we will see what happens this season when the numbers aren't entered.

I think Walt had no access to a computer, but was doing it with his mind somehow, just like the bird, the knife throwing and the few other "unnatural" things he's done. Either that, or it was Klugh or Zeke manning a computer fucking with Michael. The latter seems more plausible.

I'm on the east coast and it bugged me as well. Posting during the episode and all that nonsense. I just learned early this season to not even click this thread until after I view the episode. The first few weeks will be tough, but you will thank yourself later. Plus you get to skip about 20-30 pointless posts saving time to do/read other things.

Oooh. Here's a crazy thought.

What if Desmond is on the boat and he is just now arriving on the island for the first time? A bit of a time shift/bermuda triangle/Vortex type thing. He would have no recollection of ever being on the island before. This could also make way for the clone theory, his clone being the one manning the hatch.

Sounds out there, but not more so than any of the other theories of the past year or so.

Yeah, revealed spoilers are a pain, but no one is forcing you to click on the thread before you've seen the episode. Although I had no idea that Canadians get to watch it a few hours ahead of time. Lucky bastards!
