Okay finale.
Lex becoming Zod was predictable. How the hell does 'killing' Fine enable Zod to inhabit Lex anyway? Plot hole, USA.
Clark stuck in the Phantom Zone? OH I WONDER IF HE'LL GET OUT?!? Lame there.
Lex and Lana, who cares. Throw her off the damn building, Zod.
Why is Fine taking Martha and Lois somewhere in a plane? That made no sense, and factored in with nothing else in the episode. Clark doesn't know about them, so what the hell.
BUT THE CHLARK KISS, WOOHOO! Also the real Jor-El, and the Fortress again. Not all bad, but nowhere near as 'cliff-hangerish' at 'Commencement' last year.

When Lois looked out of the plane, was it just me, or, were they getting close to the Fortress of Solitude? If they were, I can see that playing into possibly Jor-El helping Martha and Lois free Clark.

was i the only who thought this "finale" was complete crap??
this whole season has sucked.. they shouldve just ended the show this season.
with the "to be continued" does that mean CW has already renewed smallville for next year?

Well, can we agree that this season had the best opening credits?
I like that theory about Lois and Mother Kent getting in touch with Jor-El to save Clark. Wonder if that is how Lois finds out about Clark. - eh, probably not.
My theory is that Lex/Zod will eventually kill Lana, but even if this doesn't happen, it seems obvious that it will come to that and there'll be some kind of conflict with whether's left of Lex.
edit: from what I read on the other board, is that Clark throwing the dagger at Fine was actually what released Zod which was signaled by the dagger turning red as opposed to yellow since Fine wasn't the right target. I guess...

So like all the other Smallville cliffhanger finales, will this one be resolved entirely after the first episode of next season?
So it looked like Chloe was on the verge of getting raped, which won't happen because this is Smallville. Also, Lex knows about Clark's powers, which means WHEN (not if) he comes back to inhabit his body, he'll forget it completely.
Also, apparently Fine's worldwide riot affects New York and Los Angeles in different YEARS.

As for the episode...I was into it for about 25-30 minutes. However, once Lex became Zod and the ridiculous "rioting", it just became too fucking cheesy. Did like the kiss between Clark and Chloe [at least they weren't walking down the Daily Planet's staircase monologuing like they seem to do every.fucking.week]. And I think someone here mentioned that it was stupid to have Lex as the "vessel"? I agree. And if no one did, then that's what I think about it. Of course, once Clark makes his way back to earth and defeats Zod, Lex'll just forget everything and it won't matter..

For me this was the series ending as I wont be back for more. At least they ended it good with Clark now trapped in space on his way to Mars with zero chance of being saved and Chloe getting raped and killed. I'll toss Mrs. Kent and Lois in with the dead as well.
All your base are belong to Zod.

Also, did anyone get the feeling that they were trying to make Clark out to be some kind of jerk while Lex was a mighty hero? They had Lex come right out and show Lana his powers, which Clark still hasn't done(speaking of, you think Lana would put 2 and 2 together, but I guess everybody worshipping her makes it hard to think sometimes). They made a big deal out of Clark always lying, while Lex is being honest with Lana and all this.
This show is screwed up to unbelievable levels.
