Thursday - 02/22
8-9pm (7-8pm):
well thanks to american idol now being on 3 times a fucking week now, it has caused my name is earl and the office to be in last place in this timeslot. nice to see surivivor will strong ratings still. its amazing to me why more people would watch a repeat episode of grey's anatomy and not even give 2 great shows like earl & the office a try.

9-10pm (8-9pm):
well scrubs & 30 rock are in last place, son of a bitch. at least they still got 5 million viewers and didn't lose many from last week. Again, CSI gets beat by greys annoying. CSI's episode last nite when back to its formulaic ways. you know at this point its like whatever, if people don't want to give good shows a try who cares. ill keep watching scrubs & 30 rock while everyone else is watching greys anatomy.

10-11pm (9-10pm):
wow, people actually watched the oprah winfrey oscar special? good god. ER in the 3rd place this week which is sad, its better than the formulaic shark thats for sure, but james woods is a good actor so i can see why people are tuning in.

well Scrubs & 30 rock are at the bottom of the list sadly. i hope scrubs can make it till the end of this season and get a 7th season renewal with either NBC or ABC. 30 rock is sadly probally done and i have low hopes for the new comedy, andy barker P.I. lasting along time.

Problem is, Scrubs is a good show but that hour is a killer between CSI and Grey's Anatomy. As I said before, there isn't much of an audience left for Scrubs or 30 Rock.

Note: Expect when final nationals come out that the Oscars numbers will probably change significantly as it was a live event. Notice the drop off from 9-10 and 10-11. That would be the period when West Coasters were probably turning the show off, thereby the numbers went down...

Ratings were up this year, lot of people cheering on Scorscese.

That said, The Simpsons and Family Guy did new episode numbers with reruns, that is, in a way, pretty impressive

Damn, Amazing Race took a huge hit. I'm sort of surprised they even aired a new episode against the Oscars, but with only one episode aired it was also too early to take a week off.

That's true. FOX as a network probably deserves an Honorable Mention...

CJ went down again. Ughhhh, it was actually a really good episode too. I'm crossing my fingers things will improve on Wednesday's.

Friday - 02/23
8-9pm (7-8pm):
through Ghost Whisperer is the winner in this timeslot, its still the loser, with only 9.57 million viewers. wow smackdown beat nanny 911, sad to see.

9-10pm (8-9pm):
Again this week close to home beats Las Vegas, i don't understand the appeal in that formulaic borefest at all, sure the main star is canadian and hot its a boring show. fox lost more viewers with trading spouses, when i like wrestling a couple of years ago i always hated smackdown, it wrestlers have no charisma.

10-11pm (9-10pm):
well i don't watch numb3rs & Law & Order is just plain bad this year, i lets get some original (alive) cast members back on the series and some better character devlopment.

Shows by 18-49 Demo:
i don't understand why vegas does so poor in this demo.

Overall:
Fridays just suck in terms of ratings. i hope Las Vegas gets to the #1 spot in the next 2 weeks, the season 4 finale is in 2 weeks making up only 17 episodes for this season, sadly i don't think NBC will renew the show because of the cost of paying the actors, like James Caan, he must get paid alot.

i wont even bother commenting on the timeslot ratings cause the highest ratings of the night is 7.76 million viewers. i used to watch COPS & Americas most wanted back in the day, but i outgrew it.

7-8pm (6-7pm):
anything with Barbra Walters in it i refuse to watch, shes just a Bitch. Reba got alright ratings for 2 repeats.

8-9pm (7-8pm):
bad ratings for the amazing race, i don't think it was a smart move by CBS to put a new episode on, but it was nice to have one to watch. not bad ratings for the simpsons, when the movie comes out i bet anything that the simpsons will be back to the good ole' days ratings.

9-10pm (8-9pm):
well the repeat of WAT gained viewers, i don't understand that. the academy awards got 41 million viewers wow, i don't watch awards shows cause its a borefest from start to finish, i watch jimmy kimmel as always after the awards at 1am.

10-11pm (9-10pm):
the academy awards lost alot of viewers in this timeslot & it ran into overtime past primetime till 12:15am (11:15pm). damn even a repeat of cold case beat crossing jordan, i like both shows but it would have been nice to see CJ in the #1 spot for a new episode.

wow! the simpsons are in the #3 spot, i like that, the simpsons deserve it.

Overall:
through the academy awards beat everything, it was a good nite for the simpsons and repeats of WAT & CC. this will be the last season for Crossing jordan with only 6 million people watching this week its done for sure. i am suprised NBC hasn't took it off yet, i hope CJ can gain viewers before its to late but it might be to late already.

Just so you know, the West Coast left during the 9-10 hour so it's not surprising the numbers went down during 10-11. Expect the final numbers to be higher...

I'm again noticing the overall viewership of 24 is on a gradual decline. But, on the bright side, the 18-49 demo numbers are still pretty solid.

I think FOX will probably wait until May sweeps and see 24's final numbers before deciding whether or not to renew for a 7th season.

Do you really think Fox would not renew 7th season? Heck even if 24 went to 9 million, it would still be renewed.

Fox is not CBS, as long as the show draws above 8m and gets fairly good demo ratings it'll stick around.

CBS has a tendency to cancel anything when it drops below 10m.

Even if they don't renew, they should renew for a "final season" -- that at least will get people watching again.

Did 24 come out regularly (1x year) before? I think it's the kind of show that might benefit from a longer break. (Starts Fall of 2007, then Spring of 2009, etc). Fox is already filling out the schedule for half a year.

Yes 24 has always been once a year..but the first 2-3 years was the full year..while the last 3-4 have been the split year.

Monday - 02/26
8-9pm (7-8pm):
good god, 17 million people watched deal or no deal. i guess people don't like to think while watching tv. prison breaks ratings seem to be low as of late. i have never been a fan of the show but i would watch it over deal or no deal anyday. good ratings for HIMYM & TC. wife swap did decent last night, the ABC Nanny/trading shows always do better than foxs friday Nanny/trading shows.

9-10pm (8-9pm):
again nice to see 2 comedies in the #1 spot, CBS has really done a good job with placing the rite shows in the rite timeslots this year. heroes beats 24 as the usual, i don't understand why they are making a movie for the show when it only gets 12 million viewers? its good for 24 fans (im not one) but i don't know how well it would do in theatres. good ratings for supernanny this week again and ABC gained viewers, its pretty weird that only 2 million more people are watch 24 over supernanny.

10-11pm (9-10pm):
good ratings for CSI: Miami, it was a pretty stupid episode last nite but its still the best show in this timeslot. i watched the black donnellys last nite as well and i know why its in 3rd. its a whiny & tedious program. they lost around 6 million viewers from heroes, i guess all the hype ment nothing and NBC will have to decide weather or not to keep the series. i don't care for studio 60 but its better than this.

heroes was a hero in this timeslot, & miami takes a second. rules of engagement didn't do as well in this spot but they still had a shitload of viewers.

Overall:
Mondays isn't a great nite for tv for me. CSI: Miami is the worst of the 3 CSI's in terms of quality. the black donnellys isn't good, NBC should have left there other bad show studio 60 on instead. 24 is declining each week & rules of engagement & two and a half men is bringing in the ratings for CBS.

Prison Break's ratings have actually increased since 24 premiered in January. I recall it was probably in the 7-8 million range when it premiered in August with Vanished.

24 premiered in October/November for Seasons 1-3 and they had to take 2-3 week breaks periodically like any other show so that it could finish in May. I believe fans weren't happy with the breaks similar to what Lost went through the last 2 seasons. Plus, they never showed repeats (I believe they would show some re-runs of sitcoms to fill the spots)

Season 4 is when they decided to move it to January and have it run continuously until May sweeps and then the ratings grew dramatically.

I can't believe Idol is still sustaining at 30m, that's ridiculous. It used to take a bit of a dive after the auditions.

Not a suprise. Fox is a wasteland on mondays at 9pm. Now with 24 back..people just tune in a hour earlier..to make it a 'fox' night.

Fox needs to play it smart. Give Deserving shows a Cush spot. There is no doubt in my mind, that Bones would have died anywhere else, but being on before Idol? That is Plum.

And Now House is just redicilous, you should prolly move House., like you did with 24. House might lose some audience, but it would give another show the oppurtunity to get the plum tuesday 9pm slot.
