Taylor is the proven best singer/performer. Just go listen to his CD that is already out, wow can he sing and they are his own songs.

I guess not heh. But seriouslly..the final four of this group is better than most seasons (except for season 2). I mean season three sucked balls..season 1 was pretty good with kelly clarkson and tamyra gray.

Season 2 was very good. Season 4 was okay.

I think Elliot's fan base must be huge. I thought he was going to go much, much earlier than this in the competition, but every week he has gotten through, and now I think he is gaining in momentum and fans. It is a toss up, but I wouldnt be surprised to see him in the final 2!

I think that if you are strong enough, you can be the AI and still make "your own" album. Take Kelly. She refused to complete an album that was sappy and poppy, agreeing to do half of those songs for half of her own (like BD, Low, Ms. I). Then for her next one, it was mostly hers. I bet her third album will be even more rock edged.

If Chris can stand strong and realize that he holds more cards than he thinks, I think he can realize a solid harder rock album and still be the AI.

maybe he will do that. he probably knows how Kelly did it, since he listed her as his favorite female singer.

I think Elliott, more than any other, has been picking up the votes of the people who get kicked off every week.

I think he has always been a likeable contestant, the kind you don't want to see voted off, but perhaps not the one who throw all your votes behind. But every week as others get dumped, those peoples fans probably started voting for him since he is decent and perhaps as a way to vote "against" some of the remaining contestants they dislike.

I use DialIdol so every week I have had my list of people to "make safe". I have found myself voting more and more for Elliott lately after other favoites like Mandisa and Paris got booted. I figure any vote for Elliott is a vote against Kat and Chris. :up:

Even when they are voted off, aren't the AI contestants bound by their contracts with Summer touring and publicity appearances. I don't think anyone voted off could just go into a studio the following week and record a session that would inevitably compete with the ultimate winner. This might apply to not only the top 12 but 24.

IIRC the top 12 have 1 year contracts and the top 24 have 6 month contracts from the time the show is over.

Yep, and the AI label has first dibs to sign the artist and only after they refuse can the loser go out and shop their own deal.

They are also forbidden to put out an album until after the AI winner's is released.

As it should be. AI is who put up the money and effort to give these people a shot.

One of Chris' line was out of order last night for at least part of Hawaii's voting time. Very pissed. Instead of getting a busy signal (or straight through to the "Thank you for voting" message when you get through), the phone would actually ring, then you would get that 3-tone sound which usually accompanies the "this number is not in service" message. Called about 15 times to that number and same thing. So I voted on the other number, but very unfair.

Wasn't it last year they put up the wrong numbers and Wenesday become a "re-performance day" rather than the results show?

Taylor....He did good, but I've about had it with all that flopping around stuff. People like it so I guess he will run with it, but I find myself finding something else to do when he comes on because I can't stand watching him anymore.

Chris....This is your winner folks. His voice is just amazing. The only thing I hope is after he wins he doesn't get pinned to Idol. I think he will have major success. Who cares if he doesn't smile and shit all the time?? That's not his style and that's fine. Besides, I've seen him crack a little grin now and again so you know he's having a good time. He's just puts himself into what he's doing.

Elliott...We will have him for another week and that is o.k. I think he has done a fabulous job and good for him. I would actually like to see him take it to the finals vs Chris.

Anyone else think that Elliot looks like an uglier version of Ben Stiller. Seriously though, he seems like a good guy and all but he just doesn't have the right personality.

If Elliot goes tonight, I'm fine with any of the three remaining folks winning. All three have their own appeal. (With Chris being the only one I could see myself not changing the station on.)

I picked a Kat/Taylor final, but it looks like it may be in jeopardy now.

At this point, I'm good with anyone going or staying. Someone has to go after all, and this week I think you could make a point for any of the remaining four to win it all. I don't think you could do that the previous seasons with four people to go.

The gray haired guy would be great in clubs, but not CD buying for me.
The bald guy will be typical try-hard rock/alternative and quite successful.
Elliott has the most talent, but unfortunately, this contest is not about talent.
