yeah and then when Ryan asked Ace about the end of the video, referring to Brian refusing to mutilate a song of theirs, Ace thought Ryan was talking about the end of his performance. It's surprising to see how many contestants don't get Ryan's questions, and Ryan is so crunched for time that he just acts as though he never asked it..ha

Haha....Simon should say something real simple and see what Kellie says.

Simon: Kellie, you really remind of of a piece of wood
Kellie: Ahhhhh whaaaat? Ohhhhh what is wud?

What the fuck did Bucky say after his performance...something about 'getting behind' Freddie Mercury...

sounded ALOT like an AIDS joke.

BTW...did ANYONE see Mandisa's face when Bucky was rehersing Fat Bottomed Girls with Queen...fucking priceless!!

I couldn't agree more. That was fabulous.

Tonight, I enjoyed watching Katharine, Bucky (God help me, I liked it. I did.), Taylor, and Paris. Everything else was not so good for me, but at least some of it was REALLY bad for a change. For instance, instead of boring bad, Ace was spectacularly bad. That's at least funner to watch. Still, he was bad and the worst by many miles for me. That's saying something, as Pickler was horrible too.

Elliott - very good, surprisingly good
Katharine - not bad!
Kellie - is that the haircut that cost hundreds of dollars?
Ace - horrible

I truly believe it is an act. She didn't know what "on paper" meant but managed to use the word terminology correctly?

Well, after tonight and looking at the dialidol numbers, I would say Taylor and Kellie would have to screw up HUGE to not be the final two. They both have been bad to mediocre the last couple of weeks and the people are STILL behind them. Chris, no matter how good he is, is getting Constentine syndrome and his popularity is plumeting.

When all is said and done, if this were the last week, I think Kellie would eek out a win over Taylor. Two country Divas in a row!

It seems pretty clear that Taylor is going to win. Chris could win if he didn't beg people not to vote for him with his song choices.

I don't know if I agree. Looking at the dialidol numbers, Pickler is coming up really fast on Taylor (margin was cut in half this week) even when they both were pretty mediocre.

Chris, on the other hand, may be bottom three this week. That could give him the swift kick he needs to show that he somewhat cares.

Please dear god no. I could not stand Fantasia the quacking duck winning and I hope to god that neither Taylor nor Kellie will win. ANYBODY but these two please.

I thought Taylor was best tonight, but really, if he wins I won't believe it. He is odder than a 3-dollar bill. I think Pickler can't win because of the Underwood factor - she's too much like her. I think Chris will win.

Yuck, another week in which they all stunk. The judges can only keep blaming it on song selection for so long, The fact is that none of these "singers" are very good. Tonight was like watching a halloween party at which all the kiddies dressed up and pretended to be rock stars. While I am no fan of Bucky, he seemed like the only person tonight that was comfortable on stage. Whoever wins it all this year, will probably be the worst AI winner yet.

I don't usually watch this show, but was considering taping it to see how they handled the music of one of my all-time favorite bands. After skimming through the posts here, I think I'm glad I didn't catch it.

I'm glad Prince passed on the experience. I always knew he was a smart man.

hello guys, newbie here!

For me, the finalist that really performed well with their theme "Queen" is Elliot! I guess, she's safe not to be eliminated.

When I first heard it though I thought that she said "I know, I do" in response to the "you look amazing," but then I thought about it, and I'm pretty sure she said I know, I do almost while he was saying you look amazing.
Looks like a session in the "damage control corner" for Katharine.

Seacrest: So Katharine, do you really think you are hot? I mean you appeared to be agreeing with Simon last night when he said you looked amazing.

Katharine: Oh, gosh no Ryan. I was agreeing with the part about thanking the lighting and makeup people. If I looked and sounded amazing, which I'm sure I did, they played at least a small role in it.

And George Michael. His tribute concert version is absolutely amazing.

Last night was a nightmare. Those songs cannot be done in 90 seconds and I wish one of the judges would have said something about that. Katherine was completely tuneless, Ace sucked, Kellie was a travesty, Elliot was barely ok, Paris was a drag queen wiuth a strong voice but not an enjoyable performance. Taylor was good but kind of boring. When he kicked it into high gear near the end it improved. Bucky was way too weak for the song. Chris was the best, I thought, even though it was a bad song choice (although I love that song.) He should have done Hammer to Fall, Stone Cold Crazy or something like that.

But really it was a terrible night. And between the tribute concert and other venues those songs have been covered so many times so much better (Who Wants to Live Forever: Seal, Show Must Go On: Elton John, SOmebody to Love: George Michael) that they reall needed to do better. This just pointed out what's missing from most of these kids: Any sort of individuality or independent spirit, which is what you need to pull off Queen. Plus I still think that We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are The Champions (which we thankfully didn't hear) are uncoverable in anything other thana tribute concert setting. Sweet Suzi McNeil was the exception but only because of her spirit and enthusiasm, not musically. I didn't see Constantine but even if he was a million times better than Pickler (easy to imagine) i still don't see it really being "good". Maybe I'll try to locate it online.

raven, there was a reason enderwiggin put that in spoiler tags.

My comments on the DialIdol results:

Spoiler:
Accounting for margin of error, Ace and Bucky are both in the final two...either could go home. The third slot could be filled by Chris, Katharine, or Elliott.

It seems like a big majority of women in my office love Chris, which only makes me want to seem him go home even more. They also hate Kellie, which might be the only reason I am supporting her so strongly. See, my Idol decisions are based mostly on spite, so I will continue to diss Chris and pick Pickler until the end.

We're all pretty cool with the drunken stylings of Taylor here though.

I dont get all the recent hate for McPhee. Stuck-up? I never got that impression and I really think its people just projecting that image onto her.

She seems like a sweet girl going through an "I cant believe I am here" rollercoaster of emotions.

She was easily safe in the beginning and maybe some of that rubbed off on her in the form of confidence. Silly her for being human.

I would love to see her perform on Sarah McLachlan night.

Sarah McLachlan would be horrible. Nothing against her or her songs, there's just not a lot of variety.

Taylor should've sung "Don't Stop Me Now" -- the lyrics are perfect for him
