Wasnt sure about the Queen theme until I check out some clips from ITUNES. There are some really great songs to be sung.
Chris-Save Me
Ace-Play the Game (some falsetto in that song of course)
and some other really great songs. It should be a really good show.
Oh, and Bucky can sing "Another One Bites the Dust" cuz it will be funny to hear him sing that during the elimination night.
Taylor, Chris, and Kellie can do no wrong, and the look of confidence on their faces show it. I want Chris to win, but I would love to see Kellie in the bottom 3 one week just to shake her up.
Katharine doesnt look so safe anymore. Imagine what she must have been thinking with Ace to her left and Bucky to her right.

Wow, didn't expect that to happen. Just shows that it's that time of the competition where the favorites aren't necessarily safe - Katherine was very lucky to be next to last last week, now her fans will rally for her. Mandisa fans didn't think she was in danger and she took the fall.
For what it's worth, I thought she did a really good job with the country song, of course that's the only performance I caught (her going away one) since I missed Tuesday's show.
Now... Elliot Yamin is a tough one to predict. I'd personally rank his as 4th (behind Daughtry, McPhee, and Hicks), but it wouldn't suprise me to see him leave next week.
And as for the prediction for Queen songs... that'll be interesting. I'm very familiar with their work, was a big Queen fan back in the late '70s / early '80s. I really hope nobody does "We Will Rock You", not exactly a challenging song.

Ever hear of Ruben Studdard? It wasn't her weight, she got voted off because she sucked the last 2 weeks. Does she have a better voice than some of the contestants still left, sure she does. It only takes 1 bad performance to get voted off though, especially if your fans think you're safe, like Mandisa's probably did.

Have to say I'm getting less interested each week. I wouldn't ever check for any of their songs or albums, and the judges comments, Ryan's comments, and the performances themselves are all blending together each week.
Paula's inane comments used to be entertaining, but her trainwreck behavior isn't entertaining to me, and I'm finding Randy and Simon's comments to be almost equally inane. Always the same, always pointless.
All the performers have their own little niche, but it's so one dimensional for each and after a few weeks it's just boring to me.
Kellie looked HAWT though. I guess she finally hooked up with the right stylist.

Ruben's a guy. Fat dude != Fat girl in this world.

I think Mandisa made a mistake wearing those jeans. She is a big, gorgeous woman, but when she wore jeans they were so unflattering. You no longer saw her face, just her bottom half, since it looked so oddly out of proportion to the rest of her body. She looked so much better in dresses or looser fitting pants. I think her stylist did her a huge disservice.

I, for one, am shocked that Gwuuurrrrlldisa was in the bottom 3, let alone voted off the island. She was, IMO, a far better performer and singer than fAce, Sir Sucky of Rockingham, and Pickleher, and she's far more seasoned than Paris (sorry, no clever or not-so-clever nickname yet).
I still think it will be Daughtry vs. Hicks in the final. McPhee is real good but I just think more chicks vote on this thing than dudes and that will do her in.

I, also was looking forward to Mandisa's rendition of "Fat Bottom Girls". Deprived.
As far as Prince's appearance, I just can't imagine the theme being his songs. Incredibly difficult to perform, and I think he feels they are only his songs. I predict 80's night will be the theme.

Using Chris' early song choices as an indicator I'll guess Stone Cold Crazy for his Queen Song. Maybe the Metallica version? (Okay, even I don't think Chris would sing Metallica on AI
)

Has anyone else heard about a supposedly contraversial statement made by Mandissa against gay people? I read on another thread that she said something about her religion and gay people and that may have been what brought her down. I havent heard a thing and its probably just a buzz but I was wondering if anyone knows what I am talking about?
She was probably was of the most natural performers on that stage and for a big woman she could really move. Should have been Paris, IMHO.

Rumor has it that Prince is only appearing because his record company is forcing him to...or strongly suggesting it to him. His album was falling from number one, and has actually fallen to #2, so they want to boost sales.
Makes sense since I never imagined Prince getting excited about doing Idol.

Funny! He was about to clap for Elliott being safe and then realized that he probably shouldn't.
Mandisa. There were others that should've left first.
I hope, but I doubt, that someone will do my favorite Queen song, "Sail Away, Sweet Sister"

I'm gay and didn't notice it -- of course I don't get my jockeys in a bunch over an American Idol contestant giving a shout-out to the Jesus people. Live and let live.
That would be ironic if she was voted off because of this. If she was a politician, she would win the whole thing.

Looking at the DialIdol stats, the top three have consistantly been:
1. Taylor Hicks
2. Kellie Pickler
3. Chris Daughtry
By a pretty big margin. I don't expect this to change any time soon.
Next week I expect to see the following in the bottom 3:
1. Bucky
2. Ace
3. Elliott
With Bucky or Ace going home.

there can be alot of speculation on why mandisa is gone... but in my eyes, its because she had 2 bad weeks in a row and this week her arrangement was so terrible that it made it painful to listen to
in my opinion, based solely on this week's performances, she was the worst of the week.. although i would have voted paris off instead of her anyways
