Well I ended up going with Mandisa, Elliott, and Paris in my office pool with Mandisa going home. Probably just wishful thinking on my part.

"American Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler called her favorite Charlotte hair stylist over the weekend and asked him to fly to Los Angeles to cut her hair on Wednesday morning.

On the show, Pickler has talked about wanting a new 'do.

Carmen Cutrona, one of the Q.C.'s most sought-after hair designers, left Tuesday morning to help Pickler, his most famous celebrity client, a representative for Cutrona confirmed.

Cutrona -- who charges $300 for a consultation, cut and styling -- is the owner of Carmen! Carmen! Salon é Spas.

Pickler, who lives in Albemarle, has been a client of Cutrona's for a few years, the hair designer's rep says.

No word yet on whether he's going to tackle the locks of Bucky Covington of Rockingham.

I wonder if Cutrona would explain to Pickler what calamari and salmon are. You would think if someone was paying 300.00 for a haircut they should know some of these finer dishes. Maybe she will tackle "escargot" soon.

What a phony~

How does a simple country girl afford $300 for a stylist?

Oh sooooo wrong. Taylor is bullet proof...until at least a few bad performances in a row. According to many of the online indicators (dialidol, idolonfox forum, etc.) he is the most popular contestant by a wide margin.

Actually, I'm OK with Mandisa going home. She has had two bad performances in a row. Usually that's enough to get the boot at this stage against relatively good competition. She's probably safe though because dialidol says she's going home. Dialidol has gotten two of the bottom three correct every week so far but the one they have pegged as going home, doesn't end up in the bottom 3 for whatever reason.

True - but They have changed their weighting - putting more weight on the East / Central Time Zones and less on Mountain time zones where there are less people.

I hope they are right

I have Yamin, Paris, and Tremandisa in my office pool with Mandisa going home .... I hope DI got it right.

I don't think Mandisa's performances have been bad at all. AI is the most objective thing out there. If you like a person (their looks, personality, voice), then you will like every performance.

I really REALLY don't want Mandisa to go...she shows the most personality of all of them. Booooo

Not to be mean or anything, but Mandisa's outfit/look lastnight reminded me so much of Jabba the Hutt. Something about that shirt with her chest being Jabba's eyes.
As Randy says everytime: "I don't know man, maybe it's just me"

Y'all need to stop picking on Kellie. Did you not hear her tell the whole world last night that she's not faking it? Hell, what more proof do you need?

I kinda feel bad that you actually buy into it.

I like a blonde ditz as much as the next guy, but there gets to a point where the girl lays it on too thick; and Kellie is laying it on like asphalt.

I kinda feel bad that your sarcasm meter is broken. Might want to get that checked out.

ahhhh ok....yeah...sarcasm is a tricky thing when you can't quite hear someone's tone of voice. But at least you were being sarcastic and not for real...so that's definitely a good thing, because I can't fathom someone buying so into her naivity...lol.

I finally just got a chance to watch the tape of last night. I think Bucky is gone, but I've been surprised before. He should have wiped the floor last night and he didn't.

Biggest disapointment was definitly Taylor. All he had to do was pick ANY song off of Ray Charles' Modern Sound of Country and Western and he could have slid right through, but that was horrible.

Even with this, I still say the final three will be Chris, Taylor and Kellie.

Paris sounded terrible. She showed that her voice can't go deep.

Bucky sound REALLY bad. There were about 2 million better songs he could have picked. Regardless of who first recorded it, everyone knows the Vertical Horizons version since that was just a couple of years ago. He didn't sing it nearly as well.

Taylor sounded bad, but he'll make it through.

Chris sounded surprising good.

Mandisa had a tough time and it showed.

Kellie was really good.

McPhee sounded awkward.

Ace sounded pretty good.

And Yancy was so boring I honestly forgot his name.

Paris can't modulate key changes, she tends to just ride out the note, and sometimes that ain't what the song requires.
