I haven't really watched much of the Apprentice since the end of season 1, but I've been eagerly waiting for next week's episode which was filmed at the tailgate at Rutgers during our Homecoming game in October. It was pretty interesting to see the approaches of both teams--will be even more interesting seeing how it plays on camera.

I felt bad for Tarek towards the end of the season because Trump's constant slights towards his intelligence seemed to color the perception of the Yes-Men on Gold Rush. Tarek was kind of cold and condescending, but almost every episode showed him working pretty hard.

Anyone else surprised by how well-spoken Michael was in the boardroom? I thought he was just more fodder (and he still might be) after his fiasco as Project Leader, his level-headed reasoning really rose his stock.

Michael sounded like a robotic butt kisser to me.

HA! It's funny, I usually listen to what the silly reward is, then fast forward to the boardroom footage, but this is the first one I actually watched and felt a bit jealous about. Burt is a GAWD to me, but these are business folks and not musicians like the BassDude, so...maybe it was lame for this setting.

Still...I'da been flying!

FYIY, I think he was a bit uncomfortable cuz of the petty arguing. They approached writing lyrics like it was a business task. Not what he's use to in his MANY collaborative efforts I'm sure.

What was funny was the way they showed the team coming up with the msot atrocious lyrics you could imagine -- then cut to Bacharach singing something completely different. My theory -- there is unused footage of Bacharach on the phone with Hal David.

The three I think have the potential to go the furthest are: Lee for his game strategy, Roxanne for her focus, and Sean for his personality.

Are these supposed to be for teens? What's up with the monkey smoking a join?
I guess these sites are the reasons why she's better than Brent and all the other contestants.

I was rooting for him and Lee, all the way.

Seems to me that Trump had it in for Tarek from early on, JUST because he was a member of Mensa. Because of that, I didn't think he'd have a chance to make it till the end.

I didn't see many bad decisions on his part, save for the time he agreed on the price point for the pizza sandwhiches.

His decision to go with no voice on that commerical made his team lose the task. I can see where he was going from the whole artsy standpoint, but doing a commerical with no voiceover just wasn't very smart.

Sam's Club gift bags with nothing in them ring a bell? Tarek was a terrible contestant and was pretty much cannon fodder. Not only that, if you watched the clipshow available on iTunes, he was an asshole to his teammates just like Andrea was to hers. I might not like Lee, but when it comes down to it, at least he is a team player. Something Tarek is not.

Here's what Tarek had to say about his MENSA thing:
I think my IQ is decreasing by the minute, so who knows? Obviously, when it comes to business, there are more important things than raw IQ - hard work, organization, creativity, communication skills, etc. I had no idea they would play up the Mensa thing so much. I knew the first time I made a mistake my intelligence would be slammed, especially by Trump. It actually became a running joke in the suite. Coffee maker's broken? Ask the Mensa guy. Need to do long division? Ask the Mensa guy. Have a headache? Go see the Mensa guy. We all had a good laugh about it. Now that I'm fired, I'm going to apply for "Lensa," which is Lenny's version.

Heh...I didn't imply that you did, but I thought her site was pretty unimpressive for someone who flaunted her success in everyone's face.

Michael annoys me - such a deliberate, affected way of talking.

I think Tarek got a bad rap because of his MENSA status (as mentioned earlier). Was a little surprised at how much he and Charmaine were sniping back and forth though.

There was no good reason to fire Michael for this task, but because there is no way he is a real contender so they had to find a small thing and jump on it..It was really Lee's fault they lost...there was no real selling plan, and with all that they had going on, to lose is just a disgrace! And those money machine things are not cheap! Did that come out of their profits?

And once again, all they do is sell? This is the most UNcreative season of Apprentice yet! What next? Put them at the NBA finals selling peanuts and beer?

THe girls kicked thier butts, and to tell you the truth I was really surprised at that.

I know this season has only been going for a little over two months, but it feels like two years. If only Trump would fire three next week, then the final the week after. Unfortunately, this season has another month yet to run. Enough of these humps already.

Lee really should have gotten the boot last night. Glad to see the gals win with just the basics instead of all the "events".

I would LOVE for once to see Carolyn and George disagree with Trump

That will never happen. They will praise someone in the boardroom, then when Trump fires that person they always say, "That was an easy decision."

By the way, has anyone seen the bedazzler commercial with the annoying homemaker chick with beaver teeth from a couple of seasons ago. I'm telling you, they all have such a great business sense.
