They are usually 61.

Sounds like another Sawyer story, from the title. Dont' read the description if you don't want a spoiler. One word in there,
Spoiler:
failed
even ruins the outcome of something in the last preview.

Previews from tonight's show. And yeah, it seems
Spoiler:
the kidnapping of Sun isn't going to be a huge deal, since they show it in the previews. And Sawyer sure seems to be turning back into the Sawyer from last season.

aktick 02-08-06 08:00 AM

This is copied from the last show's thread, not sure if many people saw it...

Just listened to the podcast for this week, and a couple interesting things were mentioned...

Regarding "Alex," -
Spoiler:
they basically said it was safe to assume it is Danielle's Alex.

When Charlie is walking out of the building from the commercial shoot, the building in the background is from the Pink Floyd album "Animals," but spoilerish to the show is the sign that was supposedly on the building (though they said it was smaller than they wanted - and I can't read it), it said
Spoiler:
Widmore Construction, and is supposed to have meaning down the line - kind of like the Hanso stuff, I guess.

And finally, about Locke's boss and Hurley's former boss,
Spoiler:
I think they were being serious, but it's hard to tell sometimes, but it is indeed the same person, and Carlton said Hurley felt bad after the meteor hit the chicken place (I think it was a chicken place) so he gave his old boss a job at his box factory.

Jeeden 02-08-06 08:39 AM

Today on DC101 they had Hurley on the show and he gave some hints about tonights episode. Specifically to pay attention to
Spoiler:
the restuarant and the napkins.

Spoiler:
what Podcast were you listening to? The only confirmation I got from that discussion is that Alex is a girl, not a boy. They never confirmed that Mr. Friendly calling Alex is Daniella's Alex.

They did confirmed that Hurley owns the box company that Locke works in, and that Locke's boss was Hurley's former manager in the chicken restaurant

Listening to this week's...it's about 21:50 in, Carlton says, "I think it wouldn't be wrong to assume that if
Spoiler:
Mr. Friendly is shouting 'Alex' that that would not be unrelated (to Danielle's Alex)." So very indirectly, I think they kind of said it was. If I interrpreted all those negatives not uncorrectly :p)

Dan1boy 02-08-06 01:58 PM

wow! nice pics! any direct link to full sizes?

I'll have to listen to it again. Too many sarcasms from these 2 douchbags. I have been listening to The Official Lost Podcast since the beginning, they are not funny with the gay jokes/comments and sarcasm.

I know, it gets old very fast.

Amen to that!!!

I guess you never really get to see how good some of the people really can look, but thank goodness we have magazines.

Bring on the rest of the women of Lost!

My wife won't be home in time to watch a Tivo'd version of Lost tonight...so I must wait.

B.A. 02-08-06 08:48 PM

Damnit - what did Sawyer say after he said they would have to go to him if they wanted a gun?

Trelach24 02-08-06 08:59 PM

WTF? Did that end 10 minutes early?

RichC2 02-08-06 09:01 PM

Nope. Was it just me or does it actually seem like an episode was missing between the last episode and this one.

I always enjoy Sawyer's episodes, even if they are predictable. Also, the filmmaking seemed "better" for some reason, even if the half-shadowed faces were a bit overdone.

maingon 02-08-06 09:02 PM

damm this show got really good again, loved tonights episode and cant wait till next weeks show. everything was perfect in tonights show didnt expect any of it. tonights episode was as good as anything in the first season i thought.

redrum 02-08-06 09:04 PM

looked like Wash was the dude in the net in the previews.

good episode tonight.

B.A. 02-08-06 09:07 PM

Love the fact that neither Jack nor Locke have the guns anymore.

Again - what did Sawyer say after he told everyone that they would have to go to him for a gun? Thanks.

There's a new sheriff in town.

...or was that too far along?

zuffy 02-08-06 09:10 PM

"New sheriff in town"

zuffy 02-08-06 09:11 PM

Damn it. I'm too slow :(

RichC2 02-08-06 09:12 PM

Destroying dreams, one post at a time ;)

Snowmaker 02-08-06 09:13 PM

I liked this episode for the fact that it was totally unexpected what happened, but I don't like where they went with it. Sawyer was getting to be too likable I guess.

First they make everyone hate the Hobbit, now Sawyer.

What else was his "long con" chick from? I've seen her before.

zuffy 02-08-06 09:13 PM

So, Sawyer did all this shit just to prove to himself that he's still an asshole and a bad person?

mayfieldbrian 02-08-06 09:14 PM

Even though you are probably supposed to think that Sawyer is a bad guy, I found myself liking what he did. Jack and John have become too self righteous. People have let them take too much control. If I was on the island I wouldn't give a shit what they thought was best, I would want one of those guns and would get one however I could.

Achtung 02-08-06 09:16 PM

Hmm, interesting. I get the feeling this episode may make more sense in future context. It was good, but didn't seem to quite fit for some reason.

I guess Charlie got his revenge though. I admit, I grinned a little.

Kim Dickens.
Deadwood, Zero Effect, Hollow Man

Achtung 02-08-06 09:28 PM

(Hey is that Jack's dad on the current episode of Law & Order?)

I heard part of that, but I thought that he had said a few more things. Guess I was mistaken - thanks.

It was nice to see "Joannie Stubbs" in-between seasons of Deadwood. I've always had a thing for Kim Dickens.

henryfish 02-08-06 09:29 PM

So why was Kate's mom in this episode? Just to show more connections?

Sekots 02-08-06 09:32 PM

Where was Kate's mom?

She was facilitating the connectiveness.

She was Sawyer's waitress in the diner.

RichC2 02-08-06 09:34 PM

I think the coincidences are fun for the audience, I know I enjoy them for the sake of "spot the character".
