Hallucinations and/or dreams can easily explain this. Shannon was the one who saw him mostly and she felt very guilty about losing his dog. Walt is obviously going to be on her mind and she hadn't been really mentally healthy since Boone had died.

Sayid is the only other one I remember seeing Walt and that could have been hallucination as well. He was really wanting to connect with Shannon and his subconscious may have allowed him to see something that wasn't really there so that he could better connect with Shannon.

I realize that these are quite a stretch to explain. And, yes, I think there is more going on than meets the eye. But I really feel that one of the things that sets Lost apart is the mystical feel it has while at the same time, it stays grounded in in reality. It really seems to achieve this really delicate balancing act between the real and the surreal.

I thought the big deal with Walt saying "Don't open it, it's bad," was that nobody but Locke and Boone knew about it at that time?

bboisvert

This is the same thing that was shown on the Twilight Zone. It was not made for the series, but Serling liked it and showed it as one of the final episodes as a cost-cutting measure.
Technically, it was Froug who brought it to the Zone, but you'd all know that already if you read my freakin' review.

Were the numbers of the combination to the gun closet of any significance?

Hey, if the Hobbit knocks her up in real life (they are engaged after all, it's a possibility), it could happen...

It's astonishing to think that attractive women actually have free will and don't exist solely for men to have sex with. Maybe she doesn't want to have sex with anyone on the island, or, more likely, she was first attracted to Jack, but he was cold and distant, and now she finds herself attracted to Sawyer, but is still put off by his antisocial behavior and general unpleasantness.

At least Sayid knocked it outta da park.
I think Jin's also taking care of business. Didn't Hurley wake up one morning to see them all "happy"?

Or maybe after 50+ days on the island she doesn't feel fresh "down there".
