If the original airing was Tuesday 1/17, then my directivo recorded it fine also. I watched it later that night.

That doesn't make any sense. Any mic that sensitive would be picking up way too much outside noise. Furthermore, just turn on a TV. If the mic is that sensitive, the TV will drown out any sound of writing.

Solid episode with a great ending. Definitly loving the addition of Forest Whitaker to the show.

It's going to be airing again on Friday, though, and one more time after that.

There's a thread over at tivocommunity that sort of addresses this:

http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb...d.php?t=282582

Basically, no one knows why it happened, and it appears to occur on a small number of DTivos.

Last season?

Is it true that this may be the last season? If this is true, it is too bad. Does anyone know why? Great show, would hate to lose it.

It's certainly looking like this is the last season. Series creator Shawn Ryan is doin a new show for one of the major networks, called "The Unit." That's probably why he's ending The Shield.

Very interesting ending... I don't know how Vic is going to explain to Lem that he HAD to kill the cop (even though he pretty much did have too). Being that Lem was friends with the dude I don't know if he's going to want to here Vic try and reason it at all..

Should be a very interesting episode coming up.

GREAT FRICKIN SHOW!

And I thought it was just mine. Every single Season Pass I have for FX is screwed up: the channel number doesn't appear next to it. I guess I'll have to redo all of them.

I think Whittaker has been just okay. His mannerisms don't bug me, but he hasn't established himself as anyone I give a damn about either way yet.

Whittaker is doing good.
Remember he's playing a cop who has to get people to confess or tell on other cops, so he has to have these mannerisms to throw people off.

Exactly. I've been getting the feeling that a lot of his actions so far have been an act. We've only seen him dealing with Acaveda, Lem, and Corrine, all people who he needs to use to bring down the Strike Team.
