I've seen a few talk show appearances by Sutherland, promoting season 5. He keeps saying that something in the first 10 minutes will happen to Jack that pisses him off on a personal level and forces him out of hiding.
Anyone care to guess what that will be?

I'm sure there will some reference to events in seasons 3 and 4, but I imagine that the plot in season 5 will be relatively self-contained.
I can't wait until tonight!!!! Let's see how badass Jack is this year!

Yeah, I'm stoked about this more than any other season. The cool thing about this show is they have to try and top the previous year so you know stuff gets blowed up and peops get shot.

Did anyone buy season 4 on DVD? I hear that there is a short film that helps set up the events for this new season. I heard they did the same thing for the season 3 set, but I never saw it.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has seen it and would be willing to fill us in on the events in the short. Hell, since I never saw the one from the season 3 set, you could even tell us what was on that if you are so inclined.
Thanks.

It's a five minute car commercial. Nothing in it that you really have to know.

Just a note from someone who watches the show on DVD but still likes to read the old discussions from when it aired, it makes it much easier to find these threads a year later if Twenty Four is spelled out.

I HATE FOX PROMOS!!!
Those dickweeds probably ruined the beig "surprise" beginning for me with a promo that ran a little while ago during the Carolina-Chicago game.
