Anybody have Tivo and can tell me how long this episode is exactly? I have, you know, one of those antique VHS players and trying to coordinate 3 taping tonight and nned to know exactly how long it runs for.
Thanks in advance.

Everything about Forest Whitaker's portrayal still reminds me of how much I hated Detective Goren on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. It's that whole "rain man" approach.
It's nice to see that Lem came up with a way to get around the wire. Too many times we see otherwise smart characters get caught up by something like that. Hell, just grab a piece of paper and write "I'm wired by IAD, watch what you say" would suffice.
It was a much slower episode than last week, but still solid.

I like the slower pace right now...really convincing me that its setting up for a huge bang at the end of the season...really starting to show some good character...ive never been happier with the Shield! That Latino they sent to mexico is gonna be an eerie thing, doubt they play it up, with this being the last season but i couldnt help thinking of the Russian in season 3 of sopranos when paulie and chris had a routine execution go awry...
i was feeling something similar with this crazy latino! So far very cool, slow tones Im getting!

Since it ran long, I missed the last few minutes, what happened after Lem and Vic fake-tussle and Lem tells him he's wired and Lem wants to know what really went down?

Interesting. I figured Cavanaugh would use Lem to gradually get the goods on Vic; not everything in one fell-swoop. This should make things more interesting - more of a battle of minds.

Even Vic may not be able to figure out a way to get Lem out from under IAD. I hope Lem doesn't meet with an unfortunate accident. And how pissed is Vic going to be when he realizes that Cavanaugh is practically stalking his wife? If this is indeed the last season, expect a finale that we'll be talking about for years.

One of two things is going to happen. Vic is either going to have to get rid of Lem, or get rid of IAD (whatever Forrest's character's name is). And from next weeks preview, I think we get a good idea which direction Vic is going to swing.
It was interesting that they decided to show how Vic starting to toughen up led to murders and his actual loss of control. I wonder how the strike team is going to react to these turn of events. Will they go soft? Keep pressing?

It led to murders because no one was afraid of the Strike Team any more. That Doom guy killed people and the dogs becuase he figured the team wasn't going to be able to touch him without witnesses. He was shocked when he get handed over to Mexico. He had no idea that the strike team would do that. But in the past, people on the street knew that Mackey would play dirty to get you, which is why the gangs didn't fuck with them.

Did anyone else's DirecTivo not catch this? I check the season pass and it said "Missing". So I had to search it out and record a later episode. Methinks is may have to do w/ them changing the name of FX again.

It's going to be airing again on Friday, though, and one more time after that.

I looked in my season past list and I have the shield listed twice. Not sure why the names seemed the same.
