That definitely felt like an appropriate series finale. I'm just beginning to get the feeling that Hurvitz has been bittered on continuing, and instead, tried to give the show a proper send off. I'd still love for it to continue, but Arrested Development will be missed. Bring on the DVDs.

Well, that's pretty much it, I would think, but I really liked the last 3 episode (the first one took me a little while to get back into the swing of AD).
Justine Bateman was looking really MILF-y in the 2nd episode tonight. Loved how things came full circle in the finale. |
Classy! They left it optimistically open, yet if it doesn't picked up they gave us a great ending. Very well done.

Nice to see Justine B. is just as sexy as ever. |

ummmmmmmm I know it was probably to get nerds like us thinking this way, but did anyone else get the idea that a movie was pretty possible, from what Ron Howard said at the end?????
|
COME ON!
It has to go on. Who wouldn't watch a season with Lucille in prison? Now that's high comedy. |
Plus, Maebe and George Michael ARE still married.
And the REAL Saddam is still at large. I wonder what part of Buster the seal bit off THIS time? |
Love to see a movie, but only if it were to air on TV, not at the movie theaters (because I just don't see AD on the big screen to be a fiscally responsible thing for whatever studio that's brave enough to produce a movie).

I'm not very familiar with the show, but is the yacht's name "C-Word" what I think it is, or is there an inside joke I'm missing?
|
Man I'm gonna miss this show.
Someone great lines I can't even remember 'em all. I liked how they tied up the Annyong thing, the Maebe not related bit and the whole show in general. For some reason the whole bit about TV shows going all-out for set dressing and then the lone starbucks cup in the cupboard had me rolling. |

"She's blowing them all away"rotfl The setup for that line was great.
Ron Howard making an apperancee at the end was a great touch. |

So much funny tonight. My favorite call back was the Variety headline about Rita getting a job at Unifilms calling her a Uni-tard.
And Franklin's shirt has given me a new signature. |

One of my favorite jokes of the night would have to be the stock recommendation moving up to "risky" and the subsequent "Risky Business" sign and employee with sunglasses and no pants on. SO Clever. I am really going to miss this show! |
Tobias: Well, this isn't going to happen. I just... want you to be satisfied
Lindsay: Oh T, you're always thinking of others Tobias: I tried that, it didn't work either... Linday: Well, you know, maybe I would be more attracted to you if you were in better shape? You know if you were just more muscular and masculine... does that make me shallow? Tobias: No, I was gonna say the same thing to you rotfl |
Just finished the last 4 episodes--pure genius, like all the others episodes. I think it was a perfect end to a series, but, I wish Showtime/ABC would pick this up and continue it.
|
I also loved the ALIAS-style "IRAQ" zoom into location through the letters.
And this exchange: Tobias: Perhaps I should contact the "Hot Cops" and get them to come up something more nautically themed. "Hot Sailers"... better yet, "Hot Se-" Michael: I like "Hot Sailors" Tobias: Mmm, me too |
Just watched the last 4, and yeah it seemed pretty wrapped up to me.
I guess if it is picked up we could follow the adventures of the Bluths. But does anyone know the statuses of the actors? I mean I'm sure they would like to stay together but how long can they wait and turn down other jobs? Maebe looked really cute in that black dress on the boat. Hope the cuteness continues to adulthood. That "Mr. F" drop makes me laugh everytime, and then to be followed by "different" made me howl. cfg! |
I know there's usually so much going on in this show that I miss a lot, but the last act in the last episode I felt like I was being bombarded with so many stories at once. I don't know. Of course it was a great last episode, but somehow it felt like the first time I had sex. It was over before I knew what was happening.
Notice during all the FOX promos, they didn't say anything about SERIES finale? Even before the first ep tonight, they did still say SEASON. Or did I just block out the bad? Why must they toy with me? They're just holding out for some big April Fools joke. |
this may have already been posted, but did anyone see this article from E!Online?
http://www.eonline.com/Gossip/Kristi...06/060210.html we can hold on to hope until June 10th!! |
