The only thing, I noticed, that was missing from the final 2 hours was...
STEVE HOLT! What happened to him? I was at least expecting him at the mock trial or the final party... |

OK, I finally just watched the finale. What exactly wee they coming to arrest Lucille for? I couldn't understand it. All I know is that Anyung set her up.
Also, was there some explanation I missed as to why GOB's boat was called "C-Word"? I know about the "Seaward", but don't understand why it was spelled how it was on the finale. |
I just watched the finale as well. In the second episode, why was there a subtitle that said something like "this is a reference to a spy show that fox made us censor"
and did anyone notice that in the third episode, the wipe to iraq was just like how they do it on the show Alias. And to Snowmaker, I am still watching season 1 episodes on dvd, so while i did get some of the season 3 jokes, i didn't get them all. |

Wow. Just finished watching.
It was a slow build to the finale. The first episode was like a base hit, 2nd episode a double, 3rd a triple and the finale was a home run. I have to agree that if it doesn't go on, we have a perfect ending. Anything else would be a bonus. |

Also, was there some explanation I missed as to why GOB's boat was called "C-Word"? I know about the "Seaward", but don't understand why it was spelled how it was on the finale. Lucille was being arrested because SHE was the one running the Bluth Company, George Sr. was just the patsy. Remember when George Sr. found Annyong hiding in the walls of the condo? Annyong was recording stuff Lucille was doing with the company money in a pseudo-sting. GOB's boat was based on the one he tried to buy back in season 2 ("The One Where They Build a House"). Remember Starla, the "Solid as a Rock" woman when GOB was president? In order to get her number, GOB bought a boat called the Seaward. When GOB refers to it in conversation, Lucille enters the room and says something like "I'm standing right here." (taking it to mean THE C-word and not Seaward). I'm sure it is just another self-referential joke. (Of course, I'm also taking for granted that you know what "the c-word" is.) |
I wonder if Ann thought the C was for "Christian."

I've sold a few different people on AD here lately, just telling them to watch the following clips:

Until something gets confirmed by a network I'm just gonna take it all with a grain of salt...
from: http://www.betterthanfudge.com/?p=334 EXCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT!!! IT’S SHOWTIME!!! EXCLUSIVE!!! Arrested Development has been picked up for 12 episodes by Showtime!!! I’m staking my rather tenuous reputation on it!!! A friend to Better Than Fudge with knowledge to be trusted says it is so. The information is according to a cast member of the show–we’ll leave it at that. Spread the word! Tell them Better Than Fudge said it was so and God bless the Bluth family!!!! betterthanfudge.com's follow up after strings of disbelief posts came through... "So…alot of people have been checking out this site for the first time since I announced the news this morning that Arrested Development was picked up by Showtime for 12 episodes. I’ve gotten ALOT of thoughtful “what the hell do you know you no name dumbass” comments and emails since. Really makes you want to go out on a limb. I’m just trying to imagine what would have happened if I’d reported the show was dead as a doornail. Would I be burned in effigy? Keep in mind this is not a gossip site nor does it aspire to be. This info just happened to come to me. Anyhoo…I wish I had more info for all of you. I do want to clarify things as I know them and you all can decide what to believe for yourselves. At least that way you can be well informed when you rip me apart in the comments below. FACT: Arrested Development to my knowledge has NOT officially been cancelled by Fox. FACT: I’ve heard the rumors like everyone else that certain parties involved in the show don’t want it to continue despite offers for it to on another channel. FACT: A lead cast member has indicated to a friend of mine who is quite high up in the entertainment industry that the show has been picked up by Showtime for 12 episodes. I absolutely know this to be true. OBSERVATION: You naysayers may be right. Maybe it’s not going to come to pass despite what was said by this cast member. We’ll all find out together won’t we? FACT: I’ve emailed Arrested creator Mitchell Hurwitz and another lead cast member asking them both to comment on all of this. No word yet. You’ll hear if or when I do. " |
In response to the above posts Kristin @ E! had this to say...
Hey all -- I, too, have seen the report on betterthanfudge.com that Arrested has been picked up for 12 episodes. My source (*Very reliable*) says: "No deal yet. It's closer, but not done. The chances are now 50/50." Yee!!! So good news -- it looks like Arrested could be saved! Go Bluths! source: http://www.eonline.com/Insider/Board...jspa?annID=414 |
Oh please let it happen. I've been having withdrawls for the last week.

Same here Al, seriously.
I'm fine with shows coming and going. There comes a time in every show's life that you just know that it's time to call it quits, but damnit, that time isn't even close for AD in my eyes. Heck, to be honest, I don't even think that AD has reached it's peak yet, and it's already my favorite show of all time. |
I think it's time to -pray- -pray- -pray- -pray- -pray- -pray- |
