With the way they were waving it around, unless they had a video camera on them at all times (and maybe even then), a decent lawyer could argue that the chain of evidence was broken. Also, it looks like their only witness is that informer chick... if the Team finds that out, I don't expect her to be too long for this world. As we saw in season 1, episode 1, Vic doesn't take kindly to people that are setting him or his boys up.

Interesting..... I'm surprised that so many of you are put off by Whitaker's performance because I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Definitely looking forward to what he brings to the table going forward....

You guys probably feel like I felt last season about Glenn Close because I never got into her character or performance..

Anyways, great episode last night..

Great Episode. Really enjoyed some of the humor regarding Dutch and the new captain.

Also looking foward to the addition of Whitaker. I have always found him to be a pretty damn good actor that never really landed the best of roles. As an actor he has an odd way of carrying himself that I think will be perfect for this show.

Great job with the totals. Lucky for Dutch that Claudette threw down some cash.

Think Dutch was also right with his prediction.

Except Julian is gay, and Danny knows that. She'd never try to convert him (I'm suspecting that is where the Happy Turkey Baster comes in). I think it has to be Dutch.

Basically althought they are calling it ONE season, it is essentially a two season story arc.

They mentioned that everything was documented with video so the chain of custody can probably be verified. Now, IAD may be corrupt too but trying to make a case that someone was framed by IAD would be hard to do. Truth be told, everything should fall apart on their "case" if Lem had, in fact, attempt to distribute the faux-product as it would get back that he was dealing crap and not the real thing. BTW I don't think Lem ever put it back. Didn't they use it to frame someone else with Antwon Mitchell?

Boy, did Cassidy Mackey grow up! I guess we didn't see her much last season. I also noticed that Cathy Cahlin Ryan (Shawn Ryan's wife) is now in the opening credits. Interesting...

Why is it that Lem is always the one shown half or completely naked? Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I'm surprised more people aren't more certain that Vic is Danny's babies daddy. We saw them have sex last season. I would not be surprised if Danny has the child and, surprise, it has autism like Vic's other kids.

See that's exactly how I feel about him. He's got kinda a quirky, off-kilter vibe about him that's always made him (for me, at least) very enjoyable to watch.

As you've said, he should fit in nicely...

Can people refresh my memory on a couple things...

1. Is Julian gay? I know he had issues with that, but didn't he also get married to a woman who already had a child? Is he still married?

2. What was the end result of the cash from the money train? That was such a HUUUGE storyline for a good 2 seasons or so. Is all the evidence gone, or could that come back to haunt them?

3. I guess Taivon is never coming back...?

Yes, he is. I don't believe they every got married. He tried to "Jesus" the gay out of himself, but it didn't work. The woman he was with ended up kicking him out I think.

They all started to dip into it and then ultimately Lem took all of it and incinerated the majority of the cash (at the end of season 3?). There was some implication that several of the bills were all marked for a laundering sting).

It is unclear. Tavon was only mentioned briefly last season, but I wouldn't say NEVER about anything this season (except maybe the return of Monica Rowling).

Lem took it from the dealer as insurance. The dealer buried the body of that young girl that Antwon had killed w/ Shane & Army's guns. Lem took it and said he'd get it back if he was telling the truth as to where the body was buried. I don't remember what happened to the dealer, but then his girlfriend (the IAD snitch) claimed that the people the dealer was supposed to give the stash to were threatening her. Vic took the stash from Lem and gave it to the dealers, and told them to leave her alone.

As far as they've shown he gave up the gay and is still married. I think he even made some reference to his wife in this season's opener.

On the other hand, though, near the end of season 3 he had to use a picture of a naked guy just to successfully jerk off at the sperm bank. I think it (the gayness) is still there, he's just pushing it away and pretending it's not there.

That was a great episode, everything seemes to work well, there was alot that went on (damn that rookie cop is fine... and after she dressed up my jaw hit the floor), although the cop killing from the first episode still bothers me for reasons others have brought up... but I guess that seed had to be planted if he ever is going to truly get busted as it seemes like everthing else he found a way to weasel his way out of.

The show had me laughing more than most comedy shows too... the sight of the gang member making his getaway on the minicycle had me rolling, as well as the vomit on the temp captain, the happy turkey baster...

The show reaffirmed why it is truly one of the top shows on tv

She's been on Law and Order:SVU as a CSI type chick.

As sad as I was to see Glenn Close leave, Forrest Whitaker did a fantastic job as the slimy IA guy. I think this season is shaping up to be phenomenal. Whatever you do, though, don't watch the previews at the end. They give away multiple episode plot points.
