Why would anyone look to AL for leadership? Okay she help save 4 tailies, but they are now in the bigger group that has had good leadership, and now the other 3 tailies will have others to turn to instead of AL.

Please let her over-acting ease up from here on out. Please.

It was nice to see the rest of the cast and Bernard's reunion w/ the his wife.

finally got around and seeing this weeks episode. I thought it was pretty good. I liked everything that happened with the orginal survivors that we all know and love. Ana i dont mind her so badly. I like having a characters around that you are kind of supposed to hate around. I like the other 2 suvivors. Sad seeing Shannon go though. The ending was done well though

i do agree with all the dislike for A-L, but i also was not a huge fan of either Jin or Sawyer early on. i dont think that my opinion will be swaying too much on her, but time will tell. not much in the way of answers to any of the many questions we have though, BUT on the flip-side they also didnt add any new questions either (or clues for that case)

You can dislike aspects of thing and still like the thing overall. It's not all or nothing.
See I agree with you, but there have been dozens of posts saying "if they don't kill the character off, I'm going to stop watching." This for me as just as stupid, even more so if you take into account that NO ONE is going to stop watching because of this one characer/actress.

I don't know if it's the character of Ana-Lucia or Michelle Rodriguez, but these past couple of episodes haven't really been fun, IMO. She's sucking the life out of the show. I'm glad the groups have merged now, so hopefully there'll be more balance between the usually fun dynamic of last season's cast and Ana-Lucia's Lifetime movie of the week troubles. At this point, I could really care less about that character and if she ended up getting eaten, it'd make having to sit through her sob story worth it.

I dont understand how the loss of a child for one character is less important (or interesting) than what has happened to other's in their lives a la Sawyer or Michael. Their stories were also interesting but no more significant than Ana Lucia's. I remember when Jack was getting a lot of screen time and people started bitching about him so I'm hoping that once Ana assumes her normal role (and not the lead role she has been playing lately) that people will see her the same way. Things should start evening out as we see more of the hatch and all of the characters as well as the monster (I hope).

I think this thread should be merged with other threads to form a "LOST: I hate Ana Lucia/Michelle Rodriguez" thread.

Most of the posts here have very little to do with this specific episode. It's mostly about:

1. Overacting/bad acting on the part of Rodriguez
2. Ana Lucia's "one-dimensional/inconsistent character"
3. How the character and/or the actress is ruining the show

Perhaps then I can go to the correct thread which talks mainly about the episode. If I want to read criticisms of Rodriguez/Ana Lucia I can go to that thread.

Or skip over those POSTS you don't care for. But we don't need condescending, pointless posts like yours either.

Sorry that this didn't turn out to be the MRod lovefest you were looking for. Perhaps you can google her and find a number of sites that praise her toothy glory.

I doubt it goes this way, but I'd like to see John Locke, Mr. Eco, Sayid, and Ana Lucia, arm them with the weapons from the bunker and go on the offensive by hunting Others.

Well, considering the episode was primarily about Ana Lucia, I don't think it's crazy for people to be discussing their feelings regarding Ana Lucia and/or the actress who portrays her. If people bitch about her during a Hurley episode, feel free to repost your complaint. Until then . . .

I have to agree with Jarofclay. People have been going a bit overboard with the whole I hate Ana Lucia thing. Watch or don't watch!

Spoiler:

There is NOTHING visible from the question or answers that would suggest what you are saying is correct. Care to expand on your thinking?

Look at the across answers:

SIEND
ACOLNS
IMGTATIV...
...ISMSKEET
EPERS
ASIDS
ALURGY

Looks like random letters so the down answers are correct.

You don't expect AL to melt quietly into the crowd, do you?

wow, didn't think I would be in the minority and actually enjoy watching the character development of Ana Lucia - oh well to each his own.

Really!?
People here dont give a character a chance to grow. If she were a real person and people were on her jury, they would have sealed her fate before knowing all the facts.

It looks like they took a regular crossword puzzle and just used 'GILGAMESH' as a down answer to link Locke and Mr. Eko. The prop masters just changed the puzzle to fit the story. The across words work better as:

.......S HARE
....S C END
ACO R NS
...IM I TATIV[E]
...LA P
...IS _ SKEET
......._ PERS
....A R IDS
.PAG E R

Which makes the original down clue possibly SCRIPTURE, which is an excellent reference for both Locke and Mr. Eko. Assuming SCRIPTURE is the original word in the puzzle, then the only word that does not appear to be a true word is UPERS. Anybody use that word/acronym before? What about ...IST SKEET? What could go in front of the IST to make a two-worded answer? This could be a descriptive term for some kind of skeet shooter.

My question... Is the puzzle a clue within a clue? SCRIPTURE vs GILGAMESH and ENKIDU? It is interesting.

Now if we could find the actual puzzle this prop came from. They had to find one that had the right number of letters in a properly 'numbered' clue (42, in this case) to match the numbers.

In the latest "Ask Ausiello" on TVGuide.com,
Spoiler:
he implied that Ana Lucia was a lesbian. So we might be able to season the Ana Lucia-hate with some gay-bashing.

Ahhh... but to see Ana Lucia and Kate lock lips... (both sets!)...

I think MRod would prefer a carrot or an apple, or a bag of oats.
