I'm really surprised they are showing a new episode tonight.

Me too, pleasantly surprised. But I'm sure we have a nice 6 week or so break coming up soon to make up for it.

I stand corrected. When was it last year that they had a six or so week hiatus?

I was thinking it was from thanksgiving through new years. But maybe it was before may sweeps.

3 weeks I can deal with, more than that is a bit much with these serial shows. I'd prefer them all be like Alias, 24 etc. and just run them straight through. All the sweeps months, etc. are just stupid.

I hate when they do this - far more than a single long break.

I think most shows are guaranteed to have new episodes each week throughout November due to Sweeps, with the exception of only Thursday shows possibly taking a week off on Thanksgiving Day.

Once December hits is when reruns show up again.

Survivor is new on Thanksgiving Day. All bets are off during sweeps.

So are CSI and Without A Trace. The NBC shows are new as well, with the exception of ER which isn't airing.

So, along with hoping that Sayid kicks AnaLucia in the nuts, I'm also curious to see how the renunion of Rose and Bernard goes - Will there be some "Lost-type" twist and they aren't the Rose and Bernard we think we they are????

Personally I'd like to see Sayid rip Ana's heart out and shove it down her throat. Alas, I think she will become a regular and even have a "attraction" storyline with one or more male survivors.

That'd be never. They never had more than a three week break last year (by that I mean three weeks of repeats between new episodes).

Looking forward to seeing how all the tailies fit in with the fusies. Hopefully Ana Lucia gets a righteous smack-down, but I doubt it. Digging the addition of Eko, though.

Wonder if Sayid will tell Michael how he and Shannon came to be that deep in the jungle?

Are they trying to RUIN this show with that bitch?

I'm seriously considering dropping it, I hate her that much.

When Eko had Sawyer on his back, I started yelling at the TV, "Break her f-ing neck!!" The wife was looking at me going, are you OK?

This was a pretty good episode in spite of her. Which says a lot for the rest of the characters considering the story revolved around her. The ending was nice with all the reunions. But the sooner Ana Lucia is killed off, the better.

I did like how she called one of the LAPD officers "Riggs".

I've never really had a problem with the ana lucia character, i understand that you are supposed to hate her. you need a character like that to mix up the chemistry, add a little friction.

You got to see a little more of her human side tonight, and i ended up hating her just a little less.

looks like she'll be sticking around to be a love interest

Even though I echo (no pun intended ) the thoughts on Ana-Lucia, I still liked this episode. Did a good job of bringing the groups together, and the reunion of the 2 couples was pretty good.

I couldn't have felt less sorry for Ana-Lucia once I found out she lost a baby when she was shot. Obviously they were trying to show why she's so pissy, but she had already dug herself such a hole that I wouldn't have felt sympathetic if she was the second coming. I really hope we're done with her being a main character, but I doubt it, as it seems they are in love with her for some reason.

Eko just keeps getting better each week. His casting almost makes up for the A-L character. I can't wait to see how he ends up fitting in with Locke and the rest of the group.

Can we try to get that handcuff off of poor Jin?

Maybe now Jack and A-L (the 2 poorest characters IMO...although Jack is leaps and bounds better than her) can get together to leave Sawyer and Kate together, which is inevitable.

Now maybe we can concentrate on the island, Dharma, security system, things like that. Hopefully they kind of tie up one more backstory next week.

Some more mention of the numbers this episode - "8-Adam-16".
