The kids were taken in the second round. They took the strongest first (but not goodwin, because he was the other).
They were trying to take eko along with the other stronger men, but he fought back.

But he never said anything about "good " people.
Shit I hate nitpickign about this show, I honestly do.

I'm pretty sure he said "good" people. It was not in the same conversation about them taking the strongest.
The strongest comment was when they were walking up the hill, before Ana outed him.
After she outed him, he said that they only took the "good" people.

I like how some earlier questions were answered and now we can move forward toward a nice showdown between the Survivors and the Others.

It doesn't matter that if all things being equal you could whoop my ass in a 1 on 1 fight. You probably won't get that chance because I'm moving around like a ninja most of the time.
So what Ana and Eko killed a few of them. They still got away with a huge number of survivors. Add to that the fact that these people are in an unfamiliar place God knows where, and these Others seem to know the terrain rather well.
Then just for shits and giggles remember you can hear them in the forest and not see hide nor hair.
I'm just saying I don't think they need to all fight like Bruce Lee to make it credible that our survivors would fear them.
As far as Ana killing 2 of them - she is an L.A. cop. All cops are trained in hand to hand combat to a certain degree, some more than others. She is to our knowledge the most trained fighter of all the survivors. Certainly more well trained than a band member, a pregnant woman and a doctor. There is no reason to believe these Others are Master Killer Shaolin Monks so the fact that a girl cop could hit another girl in the head with a rock and kill her is not a leap of the imagination for me.

I'd personally like to see more episodes without flashbacks and perhaps some episodes that are *totally* flashbacks.

I still believe that there is an underwater Dharma station for us to see where the shark came from. Maybe the others live there.
