For some reason watching the first 2 shows just made me sleepy for some reason. I was into the characters, but they take a long time for stuff to happen. And nothing really happens. They get a good lead in from Lost but one thing is revealed in the beginning of the show and then there's filler while the audience waits for someone to figure out what they've already shown us. I'm sure the show will improve but they need to pick things up more.

This show is not Lost, they can not string people along for a season and not reveal anything. This show needs to be more like Surface and actually move the story along and not try to make it another Lost or Twin Peaks. I will give this a couple of more episodes to decide if it stays on the season ticket or not.

Wow...reading this thread is so much more entertaining than this show was.
I'll hang in there if only to see if it gets any more worse than it already is.
I wonder how many more episodes will actually get shown....

Even with my computer in front of me and the show playing in the background, I got extremely bored. I can just feel the show dragging by the dialogue and very uninvolving story. And I also feel no need to care for these characters. This show should have developed the characters a bit more before the "hurricane" ever hit and then maybe the show would have a little more pull.

Does tedious mean "fucking slow as all get out"?
It's okay, but I agree w/ many of the sentiments that have already been echoed - they need to speed things up and reveal something once in a while.

My fiance kept saying "There's no action in this show"....she missed the first ep and saw the second... we watched Threshold a few times and see a lot of action there, this one just is taking the loooooong way around to tell the story..
It had high ratings tho #4 for the night, of course it was behind Lost...

And every time I see the thread title/name of the episode I think of the Peter Wolf song. "Lights Out..uh huh...flash, flash, flash!"

I think I finally figured out that my problem with this show was not that the story was developing too slowly, but that I was not that interested in the story to begin with.
Lost develops slowly, but I care about the situation and characters and it makes me want to watch. These people, not so much. I don't even find the aliens or whatever that interesting. That is why I dropped Theshold also.

I think the difference with Lost is we're interested because we don't know what's going on at all.
With Invasion, we know it's an invasion by body snatching aliens, the main characters just don't know yet. So we're watching to see what happens when they find out etc.
I like both shows though, but Lost much more.
