My favorite post of the thread. Absolutely dead on.

I seem to be in the minority thinking this season is much better than last season, and I liked last season. They took us down the hatch 90 seconds into the premier! What more do you people want? For half of season 1 they just look at a hatch! Now we're in. What other questions matter?

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but take a look at the Desmond logo. It looks a lot like a stadium. Jack first met Desmond in a stadium. Does it mean anything? Probably not!

Pharoh and Groucho, here's my summary of LOST island inhabitants:

1. Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Michael, Sawyer, Walt, Claire, Charlie, Jin, Sun, Sayid, Shannon, and the other main group of Flight 815 survivors

2. Dannielle Rousseau (aka the "Crazy French Woman" who has been living on the island alone for 16 years, when the rest of her companions either died of some illness or were killed by her)

3. The Others (aka the pirates who kidnapped Walt and blew up the raft - they have been on the island even longer than the Crazy French Woman)

4. Desmond (aka the bunker guy living inside the hatch for a long time, who seems to think there is a deadly illness of some sort on the island. He was also expecting some other man to show up - is this "him" possibly on the island too?)

5. Tail Section Flight 815 survivors (aka "The Utters" as Jin mistakenly calls them, who all look like crazed-looking zombies and have gone all "Lord of the Flies")

*6. Ethan Rom (aka guy who kidnapped Claire and is now dead - he may have been on his own or may have been one of "The Others", but he definitely was not one of the Flight 815 survivors)

*7. Alex (aka long missing daughter of Dannielle Rousseau, the Crazy French Woman - if still alive, Alex should be 16-years-old and one of "The Others" now)

*8. Jack's Zombie Dad (may exist or may just be an apparition)

I remember at the end of last season, there was some theorizing that Alex could have been the girl who threw the molotov cocktail at the raft.

How do we know that? We only know the name he gave wasn't on the manifest. He could have been traveling under a false name, or he could have given Hurley a false name.

It's fairly safe to assume that Ethan Rom is associated with the group Rousseau calls "The Others." Why? His name is an anagram of "Other Man."

That's just speculation. For all we know, the "pirates" could just be hired hands or something.

theres a guy in my college who apparently has the whole of season 2 on dvd, from japan, like right after it was filmed.....I am so addicted to lost, so if anyonw knows where i can get this dvd.... i will be eternally grateful

afaik, S2 hasn't even been completely filmed yet.

Written as well. A producer said they had S2 "mapped" out, but only written about half the eps.

It's a new technology in Japan. You can buy it as before they are done filming it. Somebody is quite gullible and deserves to have their money taken from them.

Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) was on Kimmel this week...he said that he'd taped 3 shows so far. Whether that's 3 he was in or 3 that have been done overall, I dunno...but I know they don't film more than a few weeks in advance.

They have to have taped more than 3 overall by that appearance (unless it was a repeat), so I would have to suggest that is three he is in.

Probably...it was new. I'm guessing they are generally about 3 or 4 ahead?
