I actually really enjoyed Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse series, directed by John Kricfalusi (the Ren and Stimpy guy). Also always like Bakshi's The Mighty Heroes when I was growing up (Cuckooman, Tornado Man, Ropeman, Strongman, and Diaper Baby).

What was that series with the superhero dog that for some reason had a doghouse for a helmet? Man, they had some weird stuff. I loved Superfriends, but it definitely doesn't hold up today... even if I did enjoy seeing Hal Jordan and Firestorm animated. Spiderman and His Amazing Friends was great, especially with all the guest appearances (was Firestorm the first character to be created in a cartoon, then put in the comics?), as was Spiderwoman.

Fox Family's been reairing stuff like the recent Incredible Hulk series, and the unfortunately timed Iron man one (I say unfortunate because they released it when Iron Man had the ugliest suit ever). That animation is horrendous.

X-men had a good run, but the animation suffered greatly. I think BTAS has to hold the crown, if only because it inspired a whole different, easily-animated look, had many classic episodes, and directly resulted in both Superman TAS and JL/JLU.

What, no Space Ghost?

"Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot" was also a great show.
I had completely forgotten about that one! It was indeed fantastic. Now I want it on dvd - damn it!

When I was a kid I had Silver Surfer comics and every time I would talk about them my friends would say, you mean Ice Man, right?
