2. The Phantom Menace was not apart of the 1999 movie awards.
3. The Phantom Menace was apart of the 2000 movie awards.
4. It was apart of the 2000 movie awards (and don't insult me telling me I'm wrong) because Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me was nominated in the same category and that wasn't released till the end of June (of 1999).
5. The cutoff for films to be nominated for the MTV Movie Awards is March. Thus why say Mean Girls was nominated this year and not last year.
