Mike Reno looks like a old woman, or a younger Archie Bunker. Your pick.

It's actually not as bad as I thought Hero would be. I think it sounded better than when they covered their own original.

Agreed.

Tiffany will own this thing, though, unfortunately.

On The Way Down is terrible! My ears!

I don't like There You'll Be, but CeCe did a good job vocally with it, IMO. She can definitely sing.

AFOS - much better vocals on their cover song than their hit song.

Wow... did they decide to make this sound like a bad industrial version on purpose?

Does anyone hate this host as much as I do? I want to put him in an exploding porta-potty.

Damn Seagulls suck hard.

I would say that she and AD sounded the best.

I think that Loverboy are at a disadvantage since they are about 30 years away from when they were in their prime, whereas snice Tiffany hit it big so young, she still sounds great. Mike Reno is old enough to be her father.
loverboy was huge around 1985... tiffany in 1987

2 years difference

loverboy was not around "30" years ago

Second Round

Loverboy ... Not good at all.

CeCe ... Better than her other performance, although I felt like I was watching a decent American Idol performance.

Flock of Seagulls ... They actually sounded more like themselves on the cover. I liked that they put that new wave spin on the song.

Maybe he meant that Tiffany is significantly younger -- thus her vocals have held up better.

Loverboy's first official CD was in 1980, they played throughout Canada before being signed (mid to late 70s) so they have been around for about 30 years. When they were in their prime is debatable.

I can't stand Los Lonely Boys version of this, and I actually much prefer this one so far.

Regardless, I can't see Tiffany losing.

You mean more embarrassing than playing a network special where they are forced to edit their own song and do a cheesy cover, all the while being towered over by a Tony Robbins wannabe?

I would vote for AD. I didn't think that Tiffany sounded great.

"Now, here they are, Tiffany!"
