I think/fear that Vonzell is going home next. While I don't think she deserves to win, she definitely belongs in the top three. (I also agree with how beautiful she looks.) Methinks Scott will take her place in that top three, along with the golden children Bo and Carrie.

At least I was one of the few who got the vote right this time.

I don't think Scott is a very likeable guy at least from the bits and pieces we see of him. But when he sings, he transforms into a different person. It was that way in his first audition. You saw this strange looking fat guy and say "this guy has no shot." And then he sang and he wailed. I think people kind of dig that weird double-persona thing.

I think he does pretty good every week. Remember, he is an amateur and his command will only get better. I really don't think he did any worse than any other week.

I'm not really a fan of this type of music but I think I can be objective about talent.

I rip Anthony every week because I do not feel he has much range. He sticks in the same register and yells the high notes.

Mok 04-27-05 10:25 PM

If Scott wins this thing it will be just a rerun of Rebun winning. This may come down to Scott vs Anthony.

WooHooo!!!!!!!

(kindof surprised it was vonzell instead of scott in the final 3)
but nothing can damper this.. FUCKHEAD IS GONE!!!!

2 of the funniest moments this season ocurred right after the great news was delivered by Flamecrest:

Constantstare saying "Stranger things have happened..."....... -other- How about the strangest thing that happened was that cock-eyed stare wasn't tossed 2 months ago? Is he serious?

Paula crying was the other moment of hysterical hysteria. She looked like a bad soap opera actress on ALOT of drugs. I was laughing my ass off. And she couldn't let him go without one last "YOU'RE A STAAARRR! -sniffle sniffle-weep weep-. Fucking hilarious. rotfl rotfl

moocher 04-27-05 10:31 PM

I never thought Constantine deserved to be in the top 12 but once he made it, I was pleasantly surprised by how well he did each week. Unlike the one trick ponies like Carrie and Bo, he has been pretty bold with his song choices (Partridge Family?!!) and mixed it up each week. He has had some excellent performances...

BUT, his performance last night was horrible - one of the worst this year. If one thing has been consistant it is that the one going home on Wed performed poorly the night before.

Patman 04-27-05 10:34 PM

It's true, we could have AI 2003 Redux if Scott and Anthony end up as the final two.

Scott's voice bores me silly. He needs to get in better shape and try to find a way to sustain some notes because he sings like he's out of breath by his lackluster performances (to my ears).

antennaball 04-27-05 10:35 PM

I'm a Scott Savol fan and my wife and I actually voted for him several times earlier in the season (before we lost interest). I'm glad he's still around.

I could not be happier that Connie is gone. I was at work and there were cheers when the decision was announced.

Charlie Goose 04-27-05 10:51 PM

A guy I work with told me yesterday that Constantine would be eliminated tonight due to AI finding out about some record contract he signed with his band, and the producers would fudge the numbers to send him away.

SleepyW 04-27-05 11:00 PM

I'm with most everyone else in the "WTF" department. I had said he was the worst of the night, but I didn't think he'd get voted off. I'm even more surpirised Scott wasn't in the bottom 3. What the Hell is going on here?

And to someone that said we hate on him for no reason - actually, the reason is because he's cocky and just not very likable. Oh, and there are better vocalists still in the competition. Those are good reasons.

Anyway, the night Carrie is voted off is the night I stop watching the show. No one else on the show does it for me.

Elldubtoo 04-27-05 11:08 PM

Nice to see one of the two long-haired losers go.

Bo has to go next week.

I know we need to hear them sing but with a song like that, you need the powerful sounds of the band to help carry the song.

You know what? I totally agree. You don't realize it until you heard him sing on the results show tonight. He sounded a lot better, and the music sounded beefed up this time around.

Things that make you go "hmm".

Hmm.

Random Thought:

Y'know, I've been meaning to say this about 3 weeks ago, but I've either never got around to posting it, or just plain forgot. But, after watching most of the season, I can't help but to think that if Mario was still on the show, he'd be the odds-on a few weeks into the competition.

madcougar 04-28-05 12:10 AM

I can't believe that poser jackass had any fans. I cheered when they announced his stupid name. Fat boy may not be real likable, but at least the guy doesn't act like he's the sexiest SOB this side of Fabio.

The real crime is why Vonzell doesn't seem to get any love...

Iron_Giant 04-28-05 12:36 AM

Every year some gets voted out about now that alot of people thought that they should not have been voted out.

I was expecting someone to leave soon that would shock us.

The other reason Scott did not go is because Simon told him to "Pack your bags". When ever Simon tells a singer that, they do not get voted off. It seems to give them a ton of "I'm so sorry for you" vote. But, they get voted the next week when Simon keeps his mouth shut.

tasha99 04-28-05 12:42 AM

I guess this isn't a smoldering contest after all.

:D

The last 5 minutes of this show made my day: the shocked expressions on the other contestants, Scott laughing, Paula crying and hugging the mom--all classic.

Brak55 04-28-05 12:49 AM

This reminds me of LaToya getting kicked around Top 5 last season. Except for the fact that LaToya was really talented.

As far as the debate of whether Scott is a good/bad guy, wasn't it Scott that was the total a-hole back in the preliminary's during group-sing night when he wouldn't even rehearse with his group (that I think also had Bo)?

Here's the way I see this playing out based on tonight. Two people had terrible song-choices and pretty bad performances last night, Constentine and Carrie. Constentine's fans didn't show up and he is gone, but Carrie's stayed right with her through the bad. I think it's going to be Bo and Carrie in the finals with Rock winning out over Country.

Constantine did suck last night, but that's...interesting.

I agree 100% with moocher about Constantine. Vocally, he improved a lot, and made interesting song choices, and despite his bafoonery last night, usually looked comfortable on stage.

I still think Carrie easily has the most talent, and wouldn't mind if she won even though she's a stiff on stage. Vonzell is the one looking the most like a pro lately. If it isn't one of those two who win, I will be disappointed.

People hate him for no reason.....You have got to be kidding. The guy has no respect for anyone. He stands on that stage thinking his shit doesn't stink. He gets off on hitting women and also seems to think that he is black. Newsflash Scott, fucking a black woman and getting her pregnant doesn't make you black. This guy should have been kicked off the show the moment they found out he had been arrested for domestic violence.

It's the first thing that crossed my mind -- "AI" did NOT want a contestant remaining who had an album out at the same time. It wouldn't look right. Pray for the Soul of Betty's CD gets wide release on May 10. "AI" can work the numbers any way they please -- who would know?

I'll watch to vote for Bo, but otherwise, I now don't give a sh*t.

Xbox69 04-28-05 02:49 AM

Meanwhile, how awkward was that for Anthony?! The crowd gasping. Paula in tears. The other contestants stunned. Poor Guy.

Yeah...where's that poster who claimed that Mario would become more popular than any of the contestants that hung around? I had to actually spend a good minute remembering what Mario's last name was when you posted your comment!

Well it does take more than a couple months to get a album together. I'm not saying I agree with that poster but I think its a possibility.

Yeah, I felt sorry for him. It was still  though.

I don't think Paula was crying for Constantine, she was probably just going through withdrawl.
