American Idol - Final 6 - 04/26/05

Make sure to watch the final 6 perform on Tuesday. Don't forget to vote for your favorites right after the show and watch Wednesday result show to see who gets kicked out from American Idol.

LorenzoL 04-26-05 05:14 AM

I voted for Scott.

Joeboo835 04-26-05 05:42 AM

I voted for Scott also, but if its Anthony, i'm fine with that.

So, someone answer me this. If you have chronic back pain, would you be able to dance around like Paula did during her career? Talk about your bull$hit stories. I can't believe she thinks we're going to believe that.

Tarnower 04-26-05 05:50 AM

Now that they're down to six, do they each get to perform 2 songs at this point?

SleepyW 04-26-05 08:35 AM

I don't wanna hear two songs each until Scott is gone. I'm preemptively voting for ego boy.

Abranut 04-26-05 08:53 AM

I'm going to say that Scott is eliminated this week, but I would strongly prefer Anthony Federov leaving.

CRM114 04-26-05 09:22 AM

Scott will most likely go even though Anthony is horrendous and has no redeeming quality.

chinolofus 04-26-05 09:41 AM

i voted scott but would rather see anthony and his neck hole get the boot.

Maquis 04-26-05 11:57 AM

Sounds like the theme tonight is "2000 to the present". I am still voting Scott this week, as I have for the last month. I still am surprised he is still in it. He must have pulled a fanbase from somewhere... but where???

BassDude 04-26-05 12:50 PM

Scott and Anthony are the two weakest, so no way I'd vote for them. Talent seems to leave around these rounds, (see Anwar) so..I vote Bo. :)

Can't wait to hear Scott's rendition of "In Da Club".

moocher 04-26-05 07:14 PM

With that theme it should be a strong show. This plays right into thier hands. Should be no trouble with song choice anyway.

Iron_Giant 04-26-05 07:17 PM

Scott and Anthony should be in the bottom 3 (has it been 3 weeks in a row for Scott?), but the question is who else will be there?

Tonight should give a serious look who the final 2 are going to be, I am still saying Bo and Carrie.

twikoff 04-26-05 08:00 PM

once again.. constantine was terrible.. but he will be safe till the end (and may win)

i voted anthony.. but scott was just as bad..

not sure who my 3rd in the bottom would be... after just tonights performances.. i would say carrie now should get a taste of the bottom 3.. (although, constantine deserves it much more!)

Brak55 04-26-05 08:03 PM

Wow. Here's a sentence I thought I'd never say.

Five really crappy performances and Anthony Federov.

When Federov impresses me the most, you know it was a really terrible night.

...and it confirms my thoughts. The last five years of music have been absolutely terrible.

That being said, I think Scott if finally gone.

twikoff 04-26-05 08:06 PM

odd
i thought anthony sucked pretty bad tonight... but scott and constantine were worse
bo and vonzell did pretty well
carrie just seemed off all together.. and it was even her genre

SBrooks1 04-26-05 08:07 PM

My thoughts on tonight:

Carrie - not a bad performance, not great though, she needs to move around more and show she's got some energy

Bo - The man only sings in 1 key and I'm tired of it

Vonzell - Weak song that didn't show off her skills

Anthony - I didn't think his performance this week was that bad. He can hold a tune and he's got a good voice.

Constantine - Awful song. He's 10x better than any Nickleback song.

Scott - Horrible. "Pack your bags"......he's gone tomorrow night.

Did you all see Method Man in the crowd with "Scott's Friends"?? :whofart:

MovieExchange 04-26-05 08:07 PM

Although he did a decent performance tonight, Anthony remains in my bottom 3 based on his overall performance (which is what people should judge on, not one night).

My bottom 3 wishlist:
Anthony
Scott (Oh man, Simon gets line of the series on that one)
Constantine (Once again, he butchers another song... and this is supposed to be the type of music his band performs?)

Preferred loser: Scott

That being said, my predicted bottom 3:
Anthony
Carrie
Vonzell

Predicted loser: Carrie.

I agree. One good night does not an idol make. I thought Anthony was the best of a very poor night, but he still should be bottom 3 for overall performance.

That being said, Carrie should NOT be the loser (although I think she will be in the bottom 3) as she is, in my opinion, in the top 2 for overall performance for the series.

Word. I mentally checked out during the episode since all the songs bored me and I did not recognize a single one of them. My husband said "Is Heather Locklear crying?" and I was like "Heather Locklear?" I didn't even notice that they had interviewed her before the song.

I bet the Cleveland Tourism Board is shuddering at Scott Savol's statement that the city is filled with guys like him. I did find it cute that he has a half-black baby. I guess that is a way to maintain his urban street cred.

Something else I found funny......Do you remember earlier in the season when he found out he was going to LA? He said his Dad told him he would never make it or amount to anything. And then tonight they show his Dad and he's all nice and he sounds all supportive.

Umm, no. It isn't.

The guy has showtune experience (he was in the travelling version of Rent) and his band is thrash.

How is Nickelback close to either a showtune or thrash?

The only part of tonight that was his band's sound was the last 2 seconds... his scream to finish off.

Heat 04-26-05 09:33 PM

I voted for Anthony Federov to be voted off.

As for Scott, I liked his performance, I'd like to see him stick around another week or two (though there's no way he's going to outlast Constantine, Carrie, or Bo). I phoned in for Scott, ten times.

Give me a break, ok? I've only heard of his band once, and the story said it was an Alternacrap band :-)

And if his band is thrash, and he makes a Nickelback song sound like it's sung by Barry Manilow, that's even worse than my original assessment.

Patman 04-26-05 10:19 PM

Great
No one tonight

Good

Anthony - over-reached on the high notes, but his opening was fine, Randy is deaf if he thought Anthony's opening notes were not there.

Bo - doesn't quite have the range that Degraw has, and it make the song sound flat to me.

Vonzell - low notes were good, high notes were a mixed bag.

Carrie - way too country, and too one-note in performance.

Not so good

Constantine - that just flat out sucked.

Scott - BORING!
