This week's House was probably the best hour of TV this season, but this CSI episode was probably the best 2-hours of TV this season. Perhaps Lost's 2-hour finale will be able to topple it next week, time will tell.

You'd need atleast a B.S. in a natural science plus your looking at another 2-3 years of training depending on what area you're in.

Loved the scene with David and the Doc cutting Nick open. The effects in the beginning from below the casket with the dire removed were cool as well.

@ Red Dog for my comments about newbies not knowing what is going on. That last line of the show pretty much made my comments spot on.
The Autopsy scene was classic QT. I was waiting for something like that to pop up. Also gotta love all the cheese ball TV and movie references.
I think they should've made this a cliffhanger, and left him in the box until the beginning of next season. They could've played the 2nd part of the show and made that next season's premiere.
Overall, very good stuff.

I have mixed feelings. I thought it was strong overall, but there were some blatant fakeouts that added nothing to the mix (the blonde twins early on) or, worse, had me cringing in disbelief (the whole "We've found him/they're digging me out! oh, it's not him/so what was I just hearing?" passage -- I'm sorry, that was just bad, cheap, and stupid).

This was no doubt the best episode this year. QT did a great job. You could really see his styles show through at time. The Dukes of Hazzard board game. I loved playing that game as a kid.
I wonder if they put Eads in the coffin because of his hold out last year? Maybe a little payback. He did an amazing job with it though.

Looks like I'm in the minority, but I found this to be nothing special, just another CSI episode. You could've swapped out Tarantino with anybody as director.
Did you notice that the little fellow from Kill Bill was in this as the courier's lawyer? Kill Bill spoiler:

I wouldn't mind if they released this episode on dvd by itself.
Hell if they can release the finale of friends by itself surely they can release some thats actually good.

I thought it was a great episode. I was looking for the Tarantino influence from the moment it started. I could see it everywhere. From Nick singing in his SUV, to the dialogue between him and the cop. Warricks anecdote, the cowboy lawyer, the music on the cassette, and the scene where they were opening up Nick for the autopsy. I thought it was alot different from the norm. The cast came throught with a great performance. It's been a great season though even without this episode.

Very well done episode. I didn't think the dream sequence was necessary though. Seemed out of place for CSI, even though this is Tarantino's style.
Great to see Frank Gorshin one last time.
I must have that Dukes of Hazzard board game.

I don't watch CSI that often, and I had no idea QT was directing, but I sat down about 20 minutes into the show and was riveted to my seat for the remainder. This was a fantastic episode, and now that I learn who wrote/directed it I can see why.
