Steph shouldn't win based on the crappy tribe she was on. Plenty of other people have been screwed over by being on the wrong tribe I don't see why she should be any different. They lost all the immunities with her, so each day she is there she should feel blessed.

I think a lot of people, including me, are rooting for Steph not because she was on a crappy tribe so we felt bad for her. We are rooting for her because she's the underdog, has been shown to be very competitive in challenges, and seems like a nice person.

Somehow, I think, if Steph was the lone Ulong-er at the merge, but looked like Caryn, the love for "Steph" probably wouldn't be that high. :D

Which one is Steph again?

(if that were the case)

Well since they had a alliance with her, and she pretty much knows they were going to break it, I doubt that. I hope Steph gets back at them, it would be nice to see Tom go and balance the playing field a little more. The previews make this weeks episode look really interesting.

I want to see a TRUE Survivor. A season where people like Steoh, Ian, Tom, Ruppert, etc are the ones that make it to the end. Where tribal council gets rid of the weakest link, and not the strongest. I know this would be too hard, probably, but it would be nice to see, maybe the next All Star edition.

My prediction for this week. They will have a reward challenge that reveals the pecking order. The type where each person picks who they want to knock out of the challenge. They will then have an immunity challenge based on something Stephanie will be good at.

Strong survivors will have to win immunity challenges to prevent from being voted out. But even if a strong survivor win immunity challenges week after week, it'll only take that person to final 2. He/she will still need the jury to win the million. Look at season 2 where Colby won a string of immunity challenges and got to final 2, but lost to Tina because of jury votes.

Are these two thoughts by seperate people living inside your mind?

That sounds like The Apprentice.

What I would like to see this season and in future seasons can be different, especially when 90% of the strongest players this season are already gone.

This was the main reason I wouldn't watch the first 6 seasons of Survivor. I didn't like the idea of other people voting off the best players, just because they had an aliiance. But I've mellowed in my old age and have watched the last 3 seasons, since the All Stars.

Yes I'm sad I missed the other seasons, but one of these days I will rent and watch the DVDz. I only really remember Richard Hatch winning the first season, so maybe a lot of the winners will be a surprise to me. :)

I agree to a point. I guess what I do like about her is that she seems to be the most dedicated Survivor I've seen in awhile, at least in terms of giving her all in challenges and still trying to be a productive tribe member the best she can. Tom is the best at the challenges, but that stuff is pretty much a cakewalk for him. Sure, giving her all hasn't been enough. But she keeps trying. Unfortunately for her she doesn't seem to have "the game" figured out, though.

I don't think that this will ever happen as long as they vote people off vs. elimination challenges. The voting out of Gretchen set the precedent in season one.

Eventually, I would like to see a Survivor featuring people from past seasons who were voted off first or second. Sorta like a reverse All-Stars, but could be very interesting.

Patman 04-25-05 09:09 PM

Yeah, the Socially-Inept Survivor No-Stars.
