Survivor: Palau 4/21/05

Spoiler:
An unexpected performance by a tribemate during a Challenge results in a victory for the team.

One castaway confronts her tribe, leaving everyone feeling uncomfortable and leaving her feeling alienated.

A twist at a Challenge brings very bad news for one Survivor.

In danger of going on the chopping block, a Survivor makes a heartfelt plea not to be voted off. Will this plea fall on deaf ears?

We need polls on these threads now.

So are they going to split up into different tribes again? These sentences make no sense if they do not, and if they do, HUGE spoilers.

My guess is it is Janu's turn to go home tonight.

^^I spoilerized the first post. Do the same for my quote in your post Cusm if you think people might not want to read the possible spoilers.

Why don't they make sense? They often split in groups after they merge for rewards. And the second sentence makes perfect sense for one tribe.

Maxflier 04-21-05 09:33 AM

From the preview after last weeks episode, they made it sound like just 1 person would have to go off on their own (ala Steph).

My prediction is Katie gets voted out tonight.

aktick 04-21-05 09:39 AM

God I hope Jen goes...but probably won't. She doesn't do ANYthing, and acts like she's making the calls. I know plenty of women have done nothing in this show and gotten far, but IIRC they were all kind of quiet about it. Jen doesn't exactly come across as kind and endearing.

aktick 04-21-05 09:44 AM

Is it safe to say Gregg/Jen and Tom/Ian are locks to be allied? Are they allied against one another? If so, that'd leave the other 4 as swing votes...and I think Steph would lean to Tom/Ian, as would Katie (just from what I've heard in past episodes). Should be interesting where the worthless Caryn and Janu vote.

BDLOU 04-21-05 09:49 AM

The big question is how long the exile lasts or when it begins. Its possible that the person exiled misses tribal council and can not be voted for. It's most likely going to be Janu exiled.

Aktick, The alliances are Tom/Ian/Katie and possibly Steph. Greg and Jen think they are tight in that first alliance as well but they aren't. If Greg and Jen want to shake things up, they need to do it tonight.

Vonner 04-21-05 10:03 AM

I think it'll be Janu to be exiled and that'll finally push her over the edge. She'll quit.

Tommy Ceez 04-21-05 10:35 AM

Let Janu and Caryn go first, that way, Gregg/Jenn have nowhere to turn when there due to be hacked.

tbird2340 04-21-05 10:40 AM

This was prolly mentioned in last weeks thread but I didn't read it sooo.....

How about Coby thinking everyone thought he was a threat and that was why they voted him off... Ah no.. It was prolly more like you were FREAKING ANNOYING and badmouthing EVERYONE.. That made me laugh pretty hard. HUGE THREAT!!

runner001 04-21-05 07:15 PM

Janu is actually useful so far! what a surprise. she may not be the one isolated.

runner001 04-21-05 07:16 PM

Steph continues to be on the losing team. what a shame. :(

Maxflier 04-21-05 07:31 PM

Why is Janu even in this game?

runner001 04-21-05 07:35 PM

looks like a challenge for the one with the longest nose.

runner001 04-21-05 07:50 PM

anybody else feel like jeff's trying to save Steph?

No doubt.And rightfully so.

Pistol Pete 04-21-05 07:57 PM

Bye bye
Spoiler:
Janu and good riddance

runner001 04-21-05 07:57 PM

couldn't that be considered "fixing" the game? I mean, this is a "game show" isn't it?

Patman 04-21-05 07:58 PM

Bah! I hated the way tribal council went down.

Spoiler:
Just because someone wants to leave, I still feel they need to vote on it. Yeah, I know others have given up, but this just didn't sit well with me this time.

Actually, I wanted Janu to rope-a-dope her way for another 3 days as the rest of the tribe would most likely have booted out Steph for being the biggest threat amongst the women left.

boredsilly 04-21-05 07:59 PM

And he shows why he is such a great host. Jeff worked the hell out of that tribal council (and the immunity challenge). Yeah I picked up his vibe of trying to save Steph, but to be able to ask the right questions to manipulate the survivors (and mainly Janu - but without the other answers to Jeff's questions from the tribesmen I don't know if she would have taken herself out) is really...well a totally useless talent outside of the show, but in it? Priceless.

I actually fealt bad for Janu when the whole team was laughing at her when she quit the challenge. Like damn, they didn't even try play that down. If they weren't submerged in water I bet there would have been pointing. However I was laughing my ass off while pointing at the TV during her "The hills are alive with the sound of muuuuuuuuuuuusak!" dance on the island.

I wanted to smack Steph when she started in on that "Not on my account" bullshit. Shut up and talk all that game after Janu steps out, not before.

Even thought I don't like him Greg seems to be the most focused on winning the million not just challenges like Tom - if that makes any sense. I can respect that.

This season's challenges continue to be awesome.

Dabaomb 04-21-05 08:01 PM

It looked like Ian wanted to keep Steph around. He was pretty much saying that Janu should quit so she could stick around.

It looked like Tom definitely wanted to get rid of Steph.

Then Steph gave that crying routine (it was probably fake as she was smiling at the end and all her tears suddenly dried up) that pushed Janu over the edge to quit.

Coby looked pretty pissed when Janu quit (he was shaking his head). He was then smiling at Steph cuz he knew that she saved herself.

Although I never like a player quitting, I'm happy that she did cuz she was able to screw up Koror's plans.
