Great episode, I'm really taking a liking to this show and I think I may have stopped subconsciously comparing it to the original. Loved Dwight in the anime shirt and with the Laimbeer facemask. Especially when he was trying to drink the water.

Even my wife was laughing her ass off during the basketball scenes. And then everytime Michael spoke to his employees she just stared at the tv in shock.

Dwight was pretty damn funny.
What was it Michael said to Dwight about Lord of the Rings?

I hope this show gets renewed, there really isn't much on tv that makes me laugh out loud like this.
Damn, Pam looks so good when she has a smile on her face - what torture to have her smiling at you as you embarass her boyfriend and then she goes home with him to share a bath.
They should have had Jim swat the hell out of one of Roy's shots, maybe pin the ball on the backboard when he went for a layup.

"Gimli"
"Nerd, that's why you're not on the team"
I liked how after he picked the team and they show all the people he wouldn't let play hitting shots with things in the garbage can. Then telling the one guy he'll pick if they play baseball or box
"ugh yuck, that's worse then you playing"

His reaction to Stanley not being able to play basketball was great too.

Thanks.I loved how they deliberately showed Stanley dribbling - twice.

Great show, but only 6 episodes? That's also a season in the UK, so maybe NBC didn't want to push their luck or more likely NBC didn't want to make a bigger commitment.

I will freely admit, I have been highly unsupportive of this show since it's beginning. It just never clicked with me, and the humor was always shaky and bland.
Tonight's episode, however, had me laughing like crazy. Every joke seemed to fire, and every "gag" just worked beautifully.
If only they'd all been this good.

They should've made this the 2nd episode. I liked the previous ones for the most part, but this beat all of them handily. Everything they had Michael and Dwight doing was just perfect

A strange episode for me.
For one, it was the funniest thus far. But at the same time it crystallized Michael's character as being an offensive asshole. There is little of Gervais' humanity of embarrassment in Carrell's character. This episode was like a whirlwind tour of how undisguised his racism, sexism, and homophobia is. This resulted in him being funnier than ever, but also emphasizing how thin and unthought-through the characters are in this American remake. The show seems to be less about the strange office humor of the original which was linked to Gervais' type of character and instead places more emphasis on simply laughing at how awful Dwight and Michael are as human beings.

I've worked with plenty of professionals that, when they get comfortable with their co-workers, become some of the biggest bigots/sexists/racists ever. I see many of these people in Michael, which makes it truly relatable and funny to see the reactions from others. We've all been there (well, at least I have).

SOOOOO !*@#&!@)* hilarious. Funniest new show in YEARS... (and I was plenty skeptical as a big fan of the original).

My thoughts exactly. I almost didn't watch, but I figured I'd give it one more try. I'm glad I did.
