Synopsis for Grey's:

Spoiler:

Engagement ring in hand, Derek searches for the right way to propose to Meredith. Meanwhile, Lexie demands that Mark go public with their relationship; and Bailey considers a new direction for her medical career, encouraged by Dr. Dixon (Mary McDonnell) as well as her work on recent cases.

Synopsis for Private Practice:

Spoiler:

When Archer (Grant Show ) suffers a severe seizure, Addison and Naomi aggressively search for the cause and cure---even calling Addison's ex, Derek, for advice. Meanwhile, Violet tells Sheldon and Pete that she's pregnant; and an abandoned 7-year-old patient of Cooper's is left at his doorstep.

Yeah, Yeah I know these 2 shows get pretty much -0 discussion. But, since ABC has been heavily promoting this crossover I thought it might be worth mentioning for those still watching. I'm behind of Grey's, but I'm all caught up on PP.

Heavily promoting???? I am probably one of the few here who watches both show faithfully and I had no idea this was up until I saw this thread literally seconds ago.

To be fair, due to my work schedule, I watch almost all my TV shows online and there's no "on next week's show" stuff to deal with when the show/stream ends.

Either way I'll be watching this Friday morning after work.

Private Practice has been VERY good over the past couple of weeks. Believe it or not, I think the show has a character and storyline maturity that's lacking on Grey's. But I still loves my Grey's.

Every time I wake up to my radio alarm, I've been hearing a Grey's/PP radio spot for this episode. I guess since you watch your stuff online, you haven't been seeing many TV spots.

Ditto on PP, it's been really good the last few weeks. BTW, I love Kate Walsh's new haircut. Very classy and sexy.

Ugh, so this means I'm going to have to watch Grey's this week? Gave up on it very early in the season and haven't looked back.

And yes PP has been very good this season. One of the first shows on the DVR that I watch.

I can't quit either show. I've tried.

They're both pretty bad.

I dropped PP about 3 episodes into its 1st season but I'm still caught in Grey's Anatomy's web so I'll probably watch both eps.

I can't stand Grey's now and only watch it to ridicule how much it sucks...and while I started watching Private Practice for the same reasons, I've grown to actually like it quite a bit and think this season has been a huge improvement (with the exception of Sam and Naomi who still suck...).

Seems to be some new doctors that I've never seen before. Isn't Melissa George a bit old to be an intern?

It's hilarious how much they've shit on O'Malley. He's become a coat rack. They're giving more lines to characters like "Sick Guy #3". I'm waiting for the episode where he just fades into the wallpaper and disappears forever.

Wow...so ABC promotes a 2 hour crossover event...and we get a 30 second phone call and NEXT week is the 2 hour crossover...WHAT. THE. FUCK. Talk about false advertising.

That...was...annoying.

What the hell has happened to Bailey? She used to be tough as nails, and they've turned her into this scaredy-cat of a peds-surgeon. Give me a break.

The blond pediatric surgeon his hot.

This show on the other hand is a mess. It's gotten so bad with the hugging and the piano playing up the drama. I can not believe they got me to watch this week and now I'm going to have to watch it next week too?

Yeah that was NOT a fucking crossover in any way, shape, or form. I liked the Grey's episode though. Much less annoying than more recent eps. I agree Jessica Capshaw is hot. Liked her even back in The Practice. Mini-reunion for her and Chyler Leigh.

I think next week is the major crossover, but you had to watch Private Practice this week to know what was going on for next week. That is probably why they promoted it this week.

Yeah personally I'm gonna blame DJariya for getting my hopes up.

Either way both eps were pretty good. I'm guessing the writers for this show are getting back at Kathy H. what with the seeing ghosts and now the crazy testing shit. Oh well.

I find it interesting that they're firing up the Lezbo stuff with my girl Callie.

Are they trying to "pretty up" Callie? She looked odd in last night's episode.

Yeah, they got me. It's like one of the comic book cross-overs. I may only read one of the books regularly but my desire to read the whole story forces me to buy something that I would never buy otherwise.

Seriously!

I blame myself because I honestly should have been able to figure it out when the beginning of Private Practice went back in time. I still hated being tricked into watching that snooze fest of a program. Have Amy Brenneman go on Maury and then maybe I'd tune in voluntarily.

I really cracked up when they did that Victorian romance novel thing with Yang and Hunt. They're really getting my hopes up by making it look like Izzie's gonna die because it seems so obvious that she's the one with the horrible test results.

Something that's kind of bothering me about these recent episodes is that there's no way Seattle Grace would have all those long-term pediatric patients if it existed in real world Seattle.

I think the results were mixed up and Izzie's the one with cancer.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to tap KH's ass and I love looking at her but I hope what you say is true.

Well, obviously there's something wrong with her and Dead Denny keeps telling her "he'll be there for her". So, I think stupid flaky intern (whatever her name is) mixed up the samples and she got the wrong results.

Part 1: Grey's Anatomy:

Spoiler:

In a "Private Practice" crossover episode, Addison, Naomi and Sam rush Addison's ailing brother, Archer (Grant Show), to Seattle Grace in an effort to save his life. Meanwhile, Owen runs into a significant someone from his past; and Izzie employs her fellow doctors in a medical game designed to help teach the interns.

Part 2: Private Practice:

Spoiler:

A "Grey's Anatomy" crossover episode: As Archer recovers from surgery at Seattle Grace, Derek asks Addison to work with his pregnant neuro patient; and Bailey and Naomi work together to discover why Sam suffered a sudden asthma attack. Back at Oceanside Wellness, Cooper, Violet and Pete work together to treat a mother suffering from postpartum depression.

Sorry about the confusion from last week. This is the real crossover episodes.

I'm actually looking forward to this crossover episode. It should give PP a nice boost in the ratings from GA fans who don't normally watch it.

I have to disagree with Jadzia's comment in the other thread. The supporting characters from PP are actually getting more interesting IMO than Grey's. Paul Adelstein, Amy Brenneman and Kadee Strickland have been really fun to watch the last few weeks.
