I also thought this was a nice episode, where the mission took second place to the simmering pain and acknowledgement that working at APO was exacting a psychological toll on Sydney. This is the sort of stuff that harkens back to the early seasons of Alias. Anyone else see a small smile from Sloane at the very end?

I have this feeling that we are going to get a big Alias-like plot twist and turn that harkens back to the Alias of Seasons 1 and 2. Of course, maybe next weeks episode will have a little to further that along.
Can't wait.

Better than last week's episode though I think Dixon's conversation with Sloane had a bit more venom than Syd's. Weiss just cracks me up now. He's bringing the funny more than Marshall. Next week's episode looks very promising.

The look Jack gave Sloane when Marshall asked him to marry him was priceless. I think it's hilarious how every episode when Marshall gets all excited about his latest creation, they shoot to Jack or Dixon giving a blank stare.

It was a good epsiode one of the better ones this season. but what is up with all these stand alone episodes. I mean even if you didnt like the plot of season 3 with a the rambadi (spelled wrond yes) you gotta admit it was exciting. to see whats gonna happen next week etc. this year the story ends at the end of the hour.

I thought this was a pretty good episode. The sister is starting to grow on me. Well something is starting to grow on anyway.
I am starting to wonder if they will ever have a story arc. At least next week looks like we will return to the past when old enemies show up ot ruin the day.

I didn't think it was too bad for a stand-alone, though I would have liked if they would have given us some more info that moved the overall story along other than Sydney displaying her disgust w/ Sloane forty-two times.
I still think Nadia should only be a recurring character at best, but I have to admit - Mia Maestro is drop-dead gorgeous.
At least Marshall and Weiss continue to bring the funny. And Weiss gets Vaughn involved in the silliness from time to time which is a much-needed change for that dour character.

Ugh, this was sad.
Contrary to all of the interviews over the summer, they learned *nothing* from Season 3. I'm currently rewatching these on DVD and Season 1+2 are so obviously better than everything since it isn't even funny.
They were trying to 'fix' the problems of S3, but I fail to see how they are accomplishing this. There is ZERO character development (in fact, they are all taking a step back, acting inconsistent from scene to scene, and contrary to the previous history). And the fact that there are no story arcs is ridiculous. These missions are BORING. I don't give a shit about any of them. They need to build toward something to get me to care.
It's really sad, because those first two seasons were fantastic. But this show has completely lost its way... it has become a generic action/eye candy show, and I don't see any signs that they can (or are even attempting to) turn this around.
