Simpsons 02/20/2005 aka "The Gay Marriage One"

Just watched this, and thought that it was had some great parts throughout. Overall, I really enjoyed it, but the ending was a letdown and a copout.

So that's who has a gay marriage this season. Could have called that a mile away.

The Simpsons with a disclaimer? Everybody already knows this show has the capacity to offend.

Am I hearing things, or did Homer just say "Queerly beloved..."?

Okay, that was a letdown, but that's what usually happens at the end of a Simpsons episode.

I had predicted the way it went, except I thought it would be funnier if the marraige had gone through before the "reveal." I think I was right.

The episode was bad, with or without tonight's theme. And it was un-Simpsons like to give us the warning before the show.

I did like the phonecall to Fox, "if you're pitching a ripoff of another networks reality show, press 2"

so when exactly is Fox coming out with their ripoff of The Amazing Race?

Fox Network "Your half bake ideas is all we got".

Unfortunately the episode wasn't good enough to merit all of the previous hype.

I think the funniest part of the show was No Flanders, no Burns and no Smithers...and the bit about Lenny and Carl.

Homer making out with himself in his dream was creppy, yet hilarious

I agree with everyone that it was a pretty good episode with a weak ending.

I liked this episode.

Homer making out with himself was downright hysterical!!

I also even found, what are most likely the lamest bits, to be extremely funny (ex. Homer printing out the priest's collar, Homer trying to kill a fly with a knife!)

I still love The Simpsons!

Favorite line, paraphrased from memory:

Lisa: Well, I guess that's the end of Dad's marriage business.

Bart: Why?!!
