Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Add me to the list for Supergirl and The Walking Dead. I still have last season of The Walking Dead on the dvr and have been recording this season, but I just can't bring myself to start watching.

I stopped watching Arrow and The Flash half way through last season but I haven't decided to drop them quite yet. I'll probably catch up.

Didn't bother watching the last two seasons of Homeland.

Edited to add Suits. Haven’t watched the last season and a half and don’t really care to catch up.

There are quite a few shows I'm a season behind on but fully intend on watching them.

I'm trying to become more selective in what shows I watch to free up time to watch more movies.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Fear the Walking Dead, Walking Dead and Shameless.

Watched Ricks final episode in a vacuum as I did not finish last season and officially stopped the DVR on both walking dead shows, no desire to watch those or this season of Shameless as it was also really played out last year and painful to sit through. I have to say TWD pissed me off w the Helicopter stunt and I don't think I will ever watch the spinoff movies.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

With so much good content available these days I give new series a VERY short leash to grab me...sometimes less than the full debut episode.
I just have so much GOOD stuff at my fingertips right now...

Once they changed from "villain of the week" to "villain of the season" plotting, I totally lost interest.

I also nixed Lethal Weapon. Gave it a chance with Seann William Scott, but the writing and acting are just HORRIBLE this season - what a disaster that's been...it was perhaps my favorite network series the last two years.

Loved S1. At some point the writers decided to be political instead of writing entertaining television. Everything seemed to change top a point of actively disliking it.

It's almost like Supergirl went from a big major network to a low-key one with a huge budget cut, cast reductions and a move to Canada

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Arrow...Only because I fell behind due to focusing on watching the other METAHUMAN DC shows. I still enjoy the show. I will catch up on Netflix.

The Walking Dead...Negan killed the show for me after being a loyal watcher even when everyone else was dropping like flies. I was so looking forward to Jeff Dean Morgan on the show but he plays Negan like a clown; and the Negan Followers are also clowns on that show. Will catch up on Netflix.

All the Marvel Netflix Shows...Fell behind on all the seasons and now that some are done I'm not sure I will even bother catching up on those. I may eventually catch up to the ones still running...

Manifest...got boring. May catch up since some say it's actually not bad.

Conan..was always a fan but the move to TBS broke me. I'm not a TBS fan. Anyway, I used to just watch Highlights on the show's Youtube channel but I haven't for a while.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

This summer I stopped watching three shows that I have watched for a long time. RAW and Smackdown...pretty much since they started. The MTV challenge...pretty much since it started as the Real World All-Stars.

My wife finally agreed that we should drop NCIS LA after the first episode. I was glad to remove that from our season pass.

...well, none are "still running" anymore!

I'm still behind on Punisher, haven't watched the 2nd season. I never watched Iron Fist.

I think Daredevil and Jessica Jones both ended at points that can serve as series finales. They obviously could've gone on to more seasons, but there's no cliffhanger than leaves the audience in the wind. Luke Cage probably needed another season to resolve where they left it after season 2 though.

Did you mean after the first episode this season? Because dropping a show after the first episode ever doesn't seem that long.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Tuesday was the final episode of Legends of Tomorrow for Courtney Ford, Brandon Routh, and me. This has been coming for a while, but I stuck it out until Routh's departure.

So many, so fucking many.
I think I have less than 10 shows left. Life changes. With engagements, a family, a hobby and everything in between, I have maybe time for 1 single episode every day.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Oddly enough, instead of catching up with a pretty sizable handful of shows that I have a backlog on during this stay at home crisis I have decided now is a good time to nuke them and just focus on the stuff I keep up with. Also, putting a bit more of my bandwith into watching stuff on Hulu, Disney +, and Netflix.

For example, I will be deleting Batwoman (15 ep backlog, clearly I am not eager to watch) and a few others that well, now that I am working again full time I just do not have enough time to catch up.

ETA: And Batwoman is gone, along with some new shows I recorded but gave up on or never started watching. Deputy, Tommy, ForLife, Breeders, and Dispatches from elsewhere.

Dropped Riverdale a bit ago. Batwoman is on the edge but I really liked the last few episodes.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Coming into season five, I was pretty ambivalent about continuing with Poldark. I had the entire last season recorded, and I read it was the final season so I decided to start watching. Today I pulled the plug after episode four, even knowing I will be stuck at home for an indeterminate period of time and that there were only four episodes left to watch in the entire series.

That's disappointing to hear about Poldark. I've only watched the first two seasons but loved what I've seen. British shows have a major tendency to fall apart the longer they hang around.
