Was all the damage ro Sayid inflicted by "the french woman" or did he possibly have a run in with "the monster"?

Glad to see we get a new episode next week.

Seems to me that Locke is returning to his roots - that of evil guy. I don't think he is evil per se, but just wants to ensure that he stays on this island because that is where he has found himself - in essence, he is becoming the show's Mr. Glass.

Maybe he's going to replace Alex with Clair's baby, and give it to Danielle?

So does the psychic know she's alive, or did he think he was sending her to her death? And if he presumed she was going to die... what did he see happening to this child that he sent it to it's death?

This made me start wondering, why we haven't seen any of the people not on the plane after the plane went down. You would think they would show Jack's mom reading the paper about the missing plane or something.

I'm petitioning Merriam-Webster to add "rape caves" to their dictionaries.
Unless there was some wacky aging going on (which I'm not putting past this show), the ages don't add up, I don't think. Danielle's been on the island for 16 years. Ethan appears much older than 16. Unless he was already born when her team shipwrecked on the island.
I read about how the people involved with the show thought about doing an episode that was totally off the island... it dealt with the people who knew the survivors dealing with their disappearance. But at the time of the article, they had decided against it, saying it wasn't the direction they wanted to go in.

Alex consievably could have been 10 when they wrecked.

Danielle never said how old Alex was. She thought that Sayid was working with Alex. Sayid and Ethan appear to be about the same age. It could be possible. Is Ethan the one that is not on the manifest. I thought Hurley almost said the name, then the Quick cut to Ethan standing there with a menacing look on his face.

Can't wait for next week's episode! At least we only have to wait a week.

OK, did Danielle say Alex was her child, or her baby?

Oh yeah, a little name dropping here...Locke (Terry O'Quinn) is my grandpa's sister's (brother-in-law's) nephew. His sister is a Quinn by marriage, and Locke's last name is actually Quinn as well, just uses O'Quinn for his screenname. That's all. (=

Just reviewed the episode. Danielle said Alex is her child. Alright, so maybe Alex is her adult child... so he was of appropriate age to come along with her on a scientific expedition of some sort?

Oh, did anyone else notice Locke's black eyes in Claire's first dream?

Yeah, freaky! Whoever said Locke may do what he can to remain on the island, I agree. Why else would she only dream about him, plus the freaky eyes?

I though one was black and the other was white, like the stones on the body in the cave, the game pieces, good and evil...

They Pyschic knew that she was going to crash...and knew that she was going to live.

That was the only way that Claire was going to raise the baby.

He sent her on the plane as the only way to keep the baby with Claire..so the baby doesnt turn into satan.

Is Ethan a reference to Ethan Frome? Just a thought.

I like this aspect of the show. What if there's some type of nuclear holocaust or something going on, or some EMP caused the plane to crash? Who knows? Just another mystery.

This show gets better every week. It's now leapt ahead of "Scrubs" as my favorite TV show (you're comparing apples and oranges, obviously, and I still love "Scrubs").

Do you think the psychic might know where they crashed?

This is the first episode that really strains the whole "Everything is scientifically possible" theme.

Oh. My. God.

I could just watch an hour of this show on Claire in HDTV.

The guy playing Ethan is Tom Cruise's cousin in real life. Just a bit of useless trivia. I hope he doesn't kill Claire or Charlie. They're my two favorite characters!!!

I loved when Charlie was trying to count off Claire's contractions: "One...sugarplum fairy....two..." I think I'll use that from now on and irritate people.
