I think even you realize, however (based on your disclaimer) that Arrested Development is more deserving this year than CYE. I'm a huge fan of that show, but this season only really produced one standout episode (The Diamond Lane) and was far inferior to the prior seasons. Other than that, I'm ok with the list, though I (and certainly the voters) would have gone with Al Pachino over Mos Def, though both are deserving.
I realize that Arrested Development is a brilliantly executed comedy based on the writing and acting. However, I believe that Curb Your Enthusiasm was just as funny. Althought having only ten episodes to deal with (and all ten being laugh out loud funny) has its advantages, I guess.

Al Pacino was the least affecting character in Angels in America. (even though he was good in the mini-series) IMO, he was the least deserving of all the actors to get an Emmy Nomination. Meryl Streep being the next. Two heavyweights in the acting field were being dominated by all the supporting players who blew those two away. Jeffrey Wright is the real star of the film.

I did not know Mos Def had it in him to give such a convincing dramatic performance. He floored and surprised me in Something the Lord Made and I believe he deserves it. Although we will probably get Al Pacino standing on stage in September.

Don't think I am attacking you as those are your opinions. Just giving a friendly rebuttle.

Not at all. Slight difference of opinion, healthy debate. I wouldn't be upset in the slightest if Mos Def won. His work (and the show itself) was amazing.

Here's hoping Futurama wins its second straight Emmy just to make those asshats at Fox look worse for canceling it. It also deserves it.

I'm hoping Arrested Deveolopment walks off with the trophy.

Also, Angels In America will sweep damn near everything, and deservedly so in my humble opinion.

Never have I been more moved and amazed by a film than Angels.

It was easily one of the best of 2003 theatrical or otherwise.

Jeffrey Wright, Mary-Louise Parker, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and a handful of lesser known actors made it stand out.

They took good material and made it great.
