I assumed the answer to FJ was '63 and '68: King and Kennedy.

Go Ken. Imagine the people coming in to play - having not seen any of these shows - and seeing that the champion has won thirty shows! That's gotta be some intimidation to the challengers.

Nope, it was 69 and 74 for man walking on the moon, and Nixon resigning.

found the answer to my question... or question to my answer

He had to name the two years, five years apart, where The New York Times first used 96-point type for headlines marking historical events.

Jennings answered 1996 and 2001. The correct response: 1969, when man landed on the moon, and 1974, when President Nixon resigned.

Oh yeah. That totally slipped my mind.

Also a good guess, but 63 was outside the 40 year window set by the category title so it could not be a correct answer. This was a devilishly tough FJ in which you had to keep in mind the category title and work through to identify two answers which fit the category.... to Jeopardy for using a tough question!

so i guess the spoiler leaked a few weeks ago that he'd lose after 29 wins was wrong eh? 30 and counting.....pretty damned amazing....and he's still smoking everyone. I can't imagine how he'll lose.

Today's Results:

Spoiler:
Wow! A very close one today, but Ken pulled it off. Ken flubbed two daily doubles for $4800 each and just barely doubled the amount of the second place contestant with the last question of Double Jeopardy. Today for the day was $17,500 , which puts his total at $1,022,460 for his streak

I love watching that ************ nonchalantly squirm, especially when he got not one but both of the daily doubles.

It seemed to me that Ken was finally starting to show signs of fatigue. He appeared uncomfortable for most of the show. He also missed a number of questions. He didn't snap back till the last few seconds of the game.

If he keeps playing like that, someone's going to take him down soon.

I think he's surpassed any ultimate goal he might of had and just wants to get it over.

question: How far back were these shows taped? cause if Ken is doing the talk show rounds he certainly had his run ended, right?

Not necessarily. Like mentioned on one of the pages they film 5 a day for two days every two weeks. So for a 14 day time span they only spent 2 of them filming. They work 4 days a month for 20 episodes. Which leaves plenty of free time to go back to work, do talk shows, etc.

I'm thinking the eps. where he looks tired falls on that last ep. they filmed that day.

they were filmed in feb sometime..

since he's making the media rounds, his winning streak must be coming to a end soon, or the media just didn't take notice till the last week or so..
