This ep. is very reminiscent of the season two finale.

Is Annette Benning really playing Finn's mother or is just some fantasy of Tony for his dream?

Okay...somebody please explain what I just saw? I know that it was a dream for the most part, but I didn't get a lot of what was going on and didn't recognize some of the dead people as the dark lighting in the car made them hard to see.

This is all leading to Tony showing remorse for his lack of humanity.

I especially liked the "Christmas Carol" footage with Scrooge finding his inner-goodness at the end. Good use of foreshadowing.

Bizarre, but well-done episode.

Worst

Most

Annoying

Dream

Sequence

Ever

How awful was that?! What? Did that stupid thing go on for like 20 mins?!

Also, a little late in the season for a waste, filler episode isn't it?

And a short one besides.

This episode sucked major ass.

I don't know.

When Tony woke up to talk with Christopher the whore wasn't there, but her "do you want me to suck..." speach clearly mingled with his dream.

So parts of the episode not obviously unreal could have been dream sequences. We'll find out soon enough.

Did David Lynch ghost-direct this episode?

It was one messed up dream, plus it was weird to see all the deceased characters show up once again.

Artie seems to be the lynchpin to Tony S, perhaps.

Does Tony S have a thing for Annette Benning?

So Tony S will have to deal with Tony B's reprisal for the hit on Angelo (of course, Tony B's hit on Peeps precipatated that action). Christopher was literally chomping at the bit to tell Tony S about what went down. Christopher can smell Tony S's good graces once again.

Excellent episode. I loved the dream sequence. Pure wackiness, but still held some meaning.

Basically, I think Tony B tried to wack Phil, but only got his brother.

Have we ever seen Phil's brother?

Well, that was.... different.

Loved the scene with Tony banging Artie's wife while Artie coached him.

What was with Finn turning into A.J. during dinner?

Also loved the Godfather scene with Tony looking for the gun in the toilet stall.

This episode couldn't have been any wierder.

Could someone please tell me what happened in the last 1/2 hour of the Sopranos? I think I accidentally bumped the remote and flipped over to the Independent Film Channel.

What the hell was that? Easily the worst episode ever. I was enjoying this season up until that steaming pile.

Wow, what can I say? That was one messed up dream Tony had. The Christmas Carol clip - amidst other sequences of the dream - focused on Tony's humanity. Something that needed a follow-up on especially after last week's episode.

There were some things that I simply did not understand though.

Why did Finn turn into AJ at dinner?
Why was Annette Bennng there?
Why was Artie the only 'alive' person in the dream?
Significance of Carmine saying he smelled burnt hair before he died?

Very straaaaaaaaaaaaange episode, I am glad I recorded it, I want to see it again.

Also, I kept waiting for somebody to ask Tony for his Algebra homework

ALSO...

Is the Sopranos recycling characters now, OR was Jon Heard supposed to be Meadow's Fiance's dad OR was supposed to be the dead "dirty cop" from like season 1 coming back to haunt Tony?

Tony is fearing his own mortality. The idea that she went up in flames and his smelling of burnt hair is just further evidence of his fear of death. Also, he emphasized that he assumed Carmine had gone to heaven, because Tony himself fears hell.

Heard was credited with the name of the character he played in season 1. I at first wasn't sure, but when they are in the stall, Heard's character is asking Tony some questions that were similar to him asking Tony back in season 1.
